Prequel and other series

It's been quite a few years now, but I remember in an interview RJ mentioned plans for 3 prequels and another series that he had started planning in his mind.

 

New Spring was 1 of the prequels, does anyone remember what the others were supposed to be about? What about that other series he had started thinking about? Were there any further comments on that? Just curious. Thanks.

One of the prequels was going to be about Tam al'Thor's time outside the Two Rivers. The second was going to be about Moiraine and Lan in their time just before they reached the Two Rivers.

 

The outrigger series was going to focus on Mat and Tuon. I believe it was to show them as they re-consolidated the Seanchan mainland.

The other two prequesl were a story about Tam, and one about Moiraine and how she came to be in the Two Rivers just in time for Winternight.

 

There was also a Outrigger triolgy planned set 10 years after the Last Battle about Mat and Fortuona.

 

None of these are very likely for being written as both Harriet and Brandon seem to feel there is not enough notes to write it. Brandon has said straight up its pretty unlikely.

Thank you. It makes sense that those books wouldn't be written if RJ didn't leave notes. I don't think Harriet will feel comfortable licensing the world out to authors as the Star Wars/Trek worlds have been licensed out.

breaks my heart to think these books will never be written. its as if i burned my channeling out of me, someone call Nynaeve quickly.

at least it won't turn into the star wars books where anyone can write whatever.
