Terren opened the heavy wooden doors and stepped into the Library of the White Tower. It had been quite a while since he had been in here, but he had used to spend lots of time wandering the shelves, perusing the books that lived here. He had met one or two browns in here, too, that he remembered as good friends.

He quickly made his way to his favourite spot, and sat in his chair, a book on his lap, but he didnt open it yet. Instead, he simply closed his eyes, his hands touching the worn leather cover of the book, his nostrils slightly flared, taking in the smell of old paper and leather. He did like it in here. So quiet, so peaceful.

As usual when he hadn't actually picked a book to study it, he opened it to a ranadom page before he opened his eyes and began to read, shifting his swords around so he could sit more comfortably.

Taei was doing research. She had decided that power wrought items was going to be the main subject of her Accepted research along with the One Power in general. It was hard to describe really what she was researching so she stuck with the power wrought items as her official research. She was really wanting to study the One Power in the Age of Legends and well, searching through Age of Legends books for power wrought items was a good excuse to get to the information she was really interested in.

Taking her two books in hand she made her way to her favorite reading spot, a rather comfy chair that always had good lighting no matter what the weather. Book open adn reading as she crossed the library she didn't see much that was around her. She knew the library well enough, though that she could walk through it blindfolded and not tip a single shelf.

Nearing her spot she placed a ribbon in the book to keep her place while she got herself settled. Looking up she stopped short in shock. There was someone in her chair, and a trainee at that. Recovering quickly from her shock she tried to make herself as Aes Sedai like as possible and hoped that her 5'11" hight helped. "You might be more comfortable if you either found a broader chair, or took off your weapons before sitting in my chair."

Terren looked up, a faint smile touching his lips. He kept it under control though.

"My apologies." he said, standing up. "I was unaware that this chair belonged to anyone in particular." As he stood, he realized that she was damn near as tall as he was, and he smiled just a little more, not wanting to hurt her feelings. Perhaps she thought that she intimidated him because of this. He glanced down, all the way down there at the bottom of her dress, and saw the bands of colour marking her as an accepted. Still, it didn't hurt to be courteous.

He held the back of the chair for her to sit down into, if she so chose, mock seriousness on his face. "Is there anything else I can do for you?"

~Rossa~

Another of those moments where Rossa had yet another report to write as part of an assignment and needed to research all she could on the use of certain types of weave. It was for an Aes Sedai that she really did not want to get on the wrong side of, as if Rossa played her cards right the woman might let slip some details about what was happening in her homeland of Altara. Maybe even a glimpse at the political situation and therefore some knowledge about what might have happened to cause the deaths of her family. That fire burned just as brightly in her dreams each night as it did in each moment caught off guard or reminded somehow of the fateful event. Even the mere hint of too much smoke from a fireplace was enough to set her off. It was terrible some days.

She had just lifted a slender volume from the shelf, the cover seeming old and a little tatty, yet oddly comforting to Rossa. A caressing finger ran along the spine, over the title and down to the bottom, wondering if the contents would help her with the report she needed to write or whether she would just have an enjoyable time reading it. Maybe there would be something of use in there. Shrugging, Rossa patted her belt pouch with her other hand and tried to find a free table where she could sit undisturbed and make some notes.

Off to one side of her a tall Accepted was talking to someone, and a table with a spare place at it seemed available. Rossa crossed the floor and curtsied at the Accepted, clearing her throat and waiting to speak when allowed to.

“Excuse me, Accepted. I was wondering if the place at this table was free for me to do some studying?â€

The trainee's words shocked Taei for a bit and she just stared at him blankly. About that time a novice came up behind her. "Excuse me, Accepted. I was wondering if the place at this table was free for me to do some studying?â€

Shocking her back to the present she nodded at the novice and ignored the snicker from the trainee. "Of course, don't let me get in your way."

Turning back to the trainee she continued. "No, it belongs to the tower, but I would hate to see such a good chair ruined by a soldier unwilling to take the time to unbelt his weapons before sitting down."

Somewhat shaken Taei held on despirately to the composure she had started with, hoping it was enough to save her, fearing that it wouldn't be.

OOC: >.< So, sorry all... been one of those weeks...
