Name: Disendra Vinyrai

 

Division: WT

 

Physical Description: Disendra is 5'6" but slightly built. She has piercing blue eyes and she boasts a length of

black hair that reaches the top of her legs. She is 18 years old.

 

History: Disendra was born in Tear to a blacksmith and his wife. She spent

the majority of her childhood shirking from any kind of choir, more for the

mischief than out of any real nature of apathy. It was only when she

reached the age of 17 that she started to mature as a person and began

taking an interest in trade. Her parents used their savings to set Disendra

up as a merchant and she had her heart set on becoming a prosperous one. She

decided to take her first wagonload of goods to Tar Valon and this is where

her story begins.

 

 

Basic Personality: Disendra was something of a troublemaker in her youth.

Prone to childish pranks and a whimsical nature, she shirked work

outrageously and was well known in her neighbourhood as a good for nothing.

As she matured however, that mischevious nature began to diminish, but the

whimsy never did. Being the rebel she is, Disendra not only refuses to

share Tear's political views and maritime mannerisms; she is a verbose

proponent of them. As a person, she is decidedly assimilationist and sees

Tears political stance as fundamentally wrong.

It is this which provides Disendra's internal conflict as her story

progresses. The fact that she will be able to channel is something which

will set her apart from other people and she will have trouble accepting

this as deep down, Disendra craves and needs acceptance from those around

her. She will see the fact that she will be able to channel as something

that will hamper this need.

 

Despite this grave-sounding conflict, Disendra allways puts the best face on

everything (at least to those around her). She always has a polite word for

people and has the rare quality of being able to befriend almost anyone.

Since she matured, she has found within her a deep thirst for knowledge that

she has never had the opportunity to satisfy. This may well turn out to be

the factor that will see her through the aforementioned conflict in her

personality.
