timeline Confustion- Perrin mostly

re-reading the book focusing on Perrin's Timeline, there is something wrong/whack/they are missing a few days minimum in my opinion

 

also the problem of jumping timelines DO NOT MAKE SENSE between egwene and perrin's interactions as well.

 

 

Perrin sees Rand's epiphany on Dragonmount sometime between the trial date set and the actual trial. the viewing was on day 2 most likely.

 

then the trial "a few days" -shall we call it 5 days? -later- trial ends;they leave - that day- perrin breaks the dreamspike- that NIGHT..makes the hammer- that night- does battle

end of gathering storm- dragonmount scene- lets call that day 0 - epiphany day.

day 2 rand meets eqwene

in

between the meeting with eqwene & the fight.

 

met with nynaeve and elayne and summons nynaeve back - day 2?

meets with the wise ones- day 2 as well

writes and Corresponds with several leaders

has elayne make new dream rings

has suian TRAINing people in using said rings

 

Ch 22 Gawyn has been guarding Eqwene's door for "nearly" a week (a Week is 10 days in randland) breaks up the assassination attempt. leaves for andor.

 

ch 27 eqwene sends the accepted for the rings. and there has not been a murder for "days" can we say we are now at least 10 days post epiphany?

 

ch33 the clouds broke in andor a week ago- elayne to gawyn -again -a week is 10 days.

 

soo for Eqwene the epiphany was 10 days ago on the night that the TAR fight happens

 

however for PERRIN

 

no more than ~5-6 days post epiphany.

VoG takes place on Day 816, the same day Galad approved a delay of the trial. Day 825 is when Perrin destroys the DS, saves Galad and makes his new Hammer. This is the same day as Perrin's trial because the delay was only supposed to be a few days, but 'was longer than expected'. So, I think that's where your problem with the timeline is. Perrin's trial was more than just a few days (5 or 6), because of the need to make new weapons, the trial got pushed back farther that the few days that were originally asked for.

i don't agree with the timeline for perrin mostly because of that delay,

 

he asked for a few day delay

 

"days longer" implies - at least to me 4-6 days at most, instead of a Week which the timeline forces it to be.

 

sure it will fit if "days longer" ended up being 10 days longer because you are forcing it to fit "conveniently" due to OTHER person's actions in the books which is the only solution.

 

it works, but to me, eqwene has been AWFULLY busy for that week.

 

while perrin- seems due to the WEEK delay- to not be doing anything for said week.
