How do we know the Creator even exists?

As far as I can remember, the only "proof" of the Creator's existence is the voice at the end of TEotW. Now, no character ever seems to question the fact that there IS a creator, he just doesn't interfere. Of course, it is very similar to medieval Europe, but still, a lot of things are different. In WoT, there are almost no signs of the creator - there is no bible, no myth of creation, no church or organized religion (I don't really count the Whitecloaks). As far as we know, the Creator isn't really worshipped in any way - no prayers or ceremonies.

One could argue that the balance theme of WoT implies that there must be a counterpart to the Dark One, but even so, that doesn't really make sense. The Creator is told to be much more powerful than the Dark One (He is, after all, the one who sealed him), so The Dark One/The Creator wouldn't really be a balance.

Not sure what this would mean, or if there would be (or will ever be) a way to verify it, I just think it's curious that we've seen and heard so little about the creator, and yet, his existence seems to be taken for a fact based on a few old sayings and a BIG VOICE at the end of TEotW (Voice could've been the DO?)

I think Jordan confirmed there was a Creator, but I don't know if that's true and we'd have to see if someone could bring a quote where he does.

As for in the books, I agree. It does seem rather strange that the Creator seems to be taken as a fact of life. Religion is not an issue. It's more of one's morality, (Dark One, vs. Creator) than religious beliefs.

Always had slight wonder about why they accept it.

There most definitely are prayers and ceremonies.

The interesting thing about the world of the Wheel is that people behave as if evidence for their Creator is commonly available. You're right though that there does seem to be plenty of reason for people to doubt.
