If this is channeling the dark one, and Rand is the Dragon Reborn, could he channel the creator to counter the dark one? Plus since "there is always shadows where there is light" the dark one cant be killed, thoughts?

You're thinking it the wrong way. The Creator (or channeling his Power) isn't an alternative to the Dark One and his True Power. The Creator made the Wheel, the Pattern and the True Source that drives the Wheel. In a way, the True Source with the One Power is from the Creator...

your second question: since the Dark One was created when the Wheel and the Pattern were created, you might be right. I doubt that the Dark One can be slain. Rand thought he did at the end of EOTW and Moiraine already said back then that that's impossible. The Dark One might be defeated and put back in his prison or be made a new prison. But being defeated doesn't mean he'll be killed.

I agree, sort of. (Wow, I seem to be using that lead in a lot recently) The DO has decided affect Randland, He decided this eons ago, possibly 'Ages' ago. But the Creator is different, he/she/it decided that once Creation was complete that the Creation (Randland) would receive no further aid from it. It may be that the TP has an positive equivalent, but where the DO allows those that serve him best to access the TP, the Creator has not given access to "his" CP (call it Creator Power for now) to anyone in the entire history of Randland that we have seen. It seems doubtful that the Creator would take a hand during this Age but not during any of the other Ages. I can't think of the OP as the Creator's equivalent of the DO's TP, because of the difference in how it is channeled by men and women. I think of it as more neutral than that (which fits in better with the whole yin-yang balance thing RJ has going on). The OP can be access by either side Dark or Light, and if the Creator was taking any sort of active hand (or if he had the ability) it would seem that he would cut off Forsaken and BA access of the OP. I envision the Creator making the World, Wheel, and Source, all of them meant to create a balance and allowing the Pattern to form. Once the Pattern formed though the Creator left, and then the DO came creeping in trying to destroy the Pattern. The Wheel does not want it's work destroyed so it spins out those that can block the DO's manipulations. While I think that the Creator does have his own separate power (equivalent to the TP), I do not believe that he would come back to Randland just to allow Rand to access it. The Wheel could be considered the Creator's Steward of this World, and so it is in charge of providing for those that would fight on the side of the Light, The Wheel is not the Creator and cannot access all of the Creator's resources, so it cannot grant access to the CP. To me the balance comes from the fact that while the prison that holds the DO has been pierced, it has never shattered allowing the DO real freedom. Personally I think that only the danger of having the prison shattered completely might draw the Creator's attention back to Randland and nothing we have seen indicates that the prison is in danger of being utterly destroyed.

As to whether the DO can be killed....No. It's opinion, but I believe that if the DO is killed then the Creator would be also. The DO is one of the Primal Forces of the Universe, and the destruction of him would imply that all of the others could be killed (by a human) also.
