Hi all,

quick question for anyone who can answer it.

At the end of book 4 egeanin is with elayne, thom, nynaeve (is that spelt right?) and co. yet at the begining of book 5 there is no mention of her, what happened to her inbetween? Or will I find out at a later stage?

Thanks,

Barry.

“Master Domon, do you know a very deep part of the sea?”

“I do, Mistress al’Meara,” he said slowly.

Gingerly, trying not to feel the emotions, Nynaeve shoved the collar and bracelets across the table to him. “Then drop these into it, where no one can ever fish them out again.”

After a moment, he nodded. “I will.” He stuffed them into his coat pocket hurriedly, clearly disliking to touch something that must have to do with the Power. “In the deepest part of the sea I do know, near the Aile Somera.”

Egeanin was frowning at the floor, no doubt thinking about the Illianer leaving.

She left with Domon to see to this. You won't see her again for a long while (i.e. not in TFOH), but she'll be back.

She's a fair bit more important to the story than Uno. A female Rhuarc, perhaps. Maybe Lan. Padan Fain or Logain might be a closer match in terms of how they're used, though it's likely both will end up be more crucial in the end. "Female analogues" is a flawed way of looking at things in any case.
