His recent outing in the boarderlands has him killing over one hundred thousand Trollocs with no aid at all. Consider TSR where he needs Callandor to clear out a few hundred Trollocs and thinking that Callandor makes him so powerful that he can bring people back to life.

Rand appeared to be at full strength in the latter books--e.g., able to stand toe-to-toe with members of the Forsaken. What he was able to do in Maradon showed he has some newfound strength which I think demands explanation in A Memory of Light.

What he did in The Dragon Reborn was much more than simply clearing how a few hundred Trollocs. He created a weave that hunted down every Shadowspawn in a huge fortress while leaving all humans unharmed. It may still be the single coolest thing done with the power in the entire series.

What he did in TDR was great, but his personal power & skill had not developed very far. He relied on Callandor to make up the difference. All the new channelers that we have seen in the books develope their power & skill through the series. Can you imagine Eggy being able to do what she did in TGS, back in DR. No way! Her skill AND her power were just developing, as was Rands.

Also, in the borderlander event, the ash'aman watching him, (I think ) did not comment so much on how much power Rand was weaving. No, he commented on how many weaves he was doing at the same time. Something like a thousand compared to Eggy's maybe hundread in TGS. Rand's power has surly increased significantly, but his skill has gone up BIG TIME in ToM.

well just to put this is perspective didnt Egwene/Elayne say something to the effect of doing one weave at a time was easy, doing 2 at a time was twice as hard, 3 was 4 times as hard, 4 was 8, so on and so forth.

Now lets say rand was weaving 20 at once by what I jsut said (assuming its right, which it could very well be) that is

1 2

2 4

3 8

4 16

5 32

6 64

7 128

I dont have the book with me but as you can see its becoming quite rediculous. so could someone please look up that quote I believe it is in the start of tSR when they are all in the stone. As far as I remember thats the one quote that can help put this in perspective

I'm not sure where in the books you are quoting from, but my guess is that it was fairly early. When someone is learning a skill (mostly any skill) they find each step to be very difficult. But look at Ny in ToM, she does very complicated weaves with hardly a thought.

I found the quote I refered to above and the ash'aman does mention the number and power, that Rand weaves.

Naeff-----gasped. "I've never seen so many weaves at onc ," he whispered. "I can't track them all. He's a storm. A storm of light and Power!"

Of course Rand is more powerfull than Naeff, I would bet that Logain is much more powerful that him, so I think that the most important component of his observation was the volume component. There were so many weaves that he could not even follow them as an observer. And I think that Naeff has been around long enough to see multiple channelers working at once. Beyond that I don't know how we would actually quantify it.
