We must wander the waters until the Coramoor returns, and serve him at his coming.

He shall wield the One Power, and hold the Sword That Cannot Be Touched. The Aiel shall come over the Dragonwall to his call, the Stone of Tear shall fall, and war shall break over the nations of the land. Those who once ruled shall return, and shall be driven back for the first time.

The White Tower shall be broken in his name, and Aes Sedai shall kneel to wash his feet and dry them with their hair.

He shall bring us to glory and all the seas of the world shall be ours.

"Those who once ruled shall return, and shall be driven back for the first time." This line refers to the Seanchan being driven back, right? I had forgotten about the Jendai Prophecy until I came upon it in Wikipedia. Any thoughts?

It does refer to the Seanchan but you'll note that while they were driven back at Falme, they didn't actually leave the Westlands entirely. They regrouped at some islands nearby and retook Toman Head once they were reorganised. If we're working under this kind of definition for 'driven back' then you could include events like the battle in Illian as being occasions when they were driven back.

"For the first time" means in Falme. Illian was the second time. Driven back doesn't mean they will be pushed back to Seanchan, but that they will have to flee. Which they did in Falme.

But chronologically, it isn't in order. The stone fall and Rand took Callandor after he drove the Seanchan back in Falme. So maybe it is indeed tthe battke in Illian, but Dumai's wells happened before that, but is mentioned after in their Prophecies.

So, how is he supposed to bring them glory? The seas are obviously not theirs yet, what with all the Seanchan business. They were later getting the food supplies to Bandar Eban because of the seanchan. I doubt he would have time in AMoL for them at all. So I don't understand how all this is supposed to work out.

And btw, if they were to serve Rand according to the prophecies, It kinda makes no sense that they had to make an agreement with him.

Of course it makes sense. The gift of passage and agreement they make is the base of one's notoriety. The more they gain, the better they are seen. That's how Zaida (not sure if that's her) became Mistress of the Ships. Her bargain with Elayne brought her much honor.

And under the Dragon's influence, I suppose they will be the master of all seas after Tarmon Gai'Don. That is the same with the Prophecies of Rhuidean. The remnant of a remnant shall live. That remnant will live after TG.

And to serve someone without gaining something as counterpart is a kind of slavery in my opinion. They had to make a deal to prove him they weren't his dog, and also to gain the most they could.

And if you wanted to own all seas, wouldn't you bargain a bit of freedom (be ready to serve the Dragon when he ask) to obtain them? ;)
