Full Character Name: Miahna “Mimi” Telonne

 

Part 1 - Out of Character

 

1.1. Which Ajah do you aspire to join and why? I think Miahna would fit the best in the Blue Ajah. The murder of her family at her sister’s hands really did a number on her and she will have made it her life’s goal to hunt down Darkfriends so other families cannot be split. Eventually when the hunt for the Black Ajah begins she will transition from just plain Darkfriends to hunting down BA.

 

1.2. How old would you place your Aes Sedai in the Main Timeline? Remember that Sitters must be at least 90 years of Age to sit in the Hall. (Information on the Aes Sedai Aging system is on both the Website and the WT Structure Board). I plan on Miahna being around 100.

 

1.3. Have you role-played with any members of your aspiring Ajah? If so, who? What sort of impact did that member have on your character? I actually have not had a chance to rp with anybody from the Blue Ajah. I’m hoping that I may get to during the raising or directly after, but have not had a chance to thus far.

 

1.4. Define freely what your character sees to be her Ajah's purpose? Does if differ from the norm? The Blue Ajah is the Ajah of Causes, but also justice. Miahna will see the Blue Ajah as the place where her personal goals and the goals for the White Tower coincide. She wants to hunt Darkfriends to ensure no one will have to go through the pain she went through and the White Tower certainly doesn’t want Darkfriends running around killing and corrupting people; they need to be put to justice. Lastly, in what other Ajah can everyone be united while serving their own purposes? These women work to champion White Tower and Aes Sedai causes that don’t fit anywhere else.

 

1.5. What kind of a role would you like your character and you OOCly to have in your Ajah and in the White Tower? OOCly I certainly want to be involved. I’m up for anything. I can just be a present Sister, or if the higher ups need help with something or Blue Ajah representation somewhere I am definitely up for that too J. Basically I’ll be as involved as the rest of you want me to be.

 

 

Part 2 - In Character Development

 

2.1. What kind of a woman was your character when she was enrolled as a novice and what kind of a woman is she now? Miahna was very unsure of herself and her choice to attend the White Tower when she first arrived. She fretted over leaving her family and she really didn’t know much about Aes Sedai. Mimi also had a problem with being very blunt to those around her - one would always know what she was thinking.

 

 

2.2. What have been the most important, defining events in her life and how have they changed her? Separate the events to life before the Tower, life as novice and life as Accepted. Who are the people that have affected her life the most as Novice and as Accepted and how have they done that?

 

Many of the most important defining events in her life both before and at the Tower involve her family. When Miahna was 14, her mother was attacked by Trollocs. She survived physically but not mentally. The youngest sibling was killed in the same attack. As a result of her mother shutting down, her father became a drunk and Miahna had to take care of her younger siblings. Her older brothers left her to deal with the rest of the family. Her father was also abusive, though Miahna made sure that it was only to her and not to any of the rest of them. Due to this family stuff, Miahna grew up to be an honest, hardworking young woman who doesn’t take crap from anyone.

Her father beat her almost to death and the Healing of an Aes Sedai saved her. That woman requested that Mimi go to the White Tower and Miahna did it in order to repay the Aes Sedai. Leaving her family definitely affected her – although not solely in a bad way. While it was trying and sad to leave her family, it was also the first time she’d been on her own and could actually think about her life.

As a novice, I would say that the most important thing Miahna learned that she was at the White Tower for a reason, that she was a part of something bigger than life in an old farmhouse out in the middle of Arafel. As for people that affected her as a Novice, I would state that Valeri Sedai is the best person, as she was a motherly figure that also taught Mimi about the White Tower, about disciple, respect, etc.

If she learned about herself and her reasons for being at the Tower as a novice, then I would say that as an Accepted, Miahna learned about how to be an Aes Sedai and where she would fit as a Sister. One of the most important things that happened to her was receiving the letter from her youngest sister that she had murdered the rest of the family. Obviously that was an important and defining moment. Due to the training that had shaped her over the previous decade plus, Miahna realized that as an Aes Sedai she could stop those kinds of things from happening to others. Important people would be Carina Sedai who taught Miahna etiquette, as this will help the Arafellin to fit in wherever she goes. But most importantly, Larindhra Sedai who helped Miahna recover after the receiving the letter and helped Mimi realize what and how she could go on afterward.

2.3. What are your character's weaknesses? Strengths? What is her inner struggle? What is her philosophy of life?

I would say that bluntness is still a weakness. I plan to explore this more as an Aes Sedai as I think it will have more entertaining results. Perhaps it is also a strength though. Other weakness – she has a soft heart when it comes to children and for people who go through a similar situation as her own. Strengths, now that she has gone through everything mentioned above, Miahna is very confident in her duty to the world. She’s also very smart and very determined – she’s going to do whatever is necessary to achieve what she sets her mind to. Her philosophy of life is to rid the world of darkfriends (and eventually Black Ajah) so that no one has to go through what she went through. Her inner struggle is that she still occasionally dwells on what happened to her family and what she could have done to stop it. She’s accepted it, of course, but she still ‘what if’s and that’s part of what drives her later in life.

 

2.4. What three words best describe your character's personality?

 

Determination, Observant, Blunt

 

Part 3 - The Role of an Aes Sedai

 

3.1. What do you think the role of an Aes Sedai is ICly? To protect the world. Each Ajah has a different way to do this, and sometimes each Sister has her own way, but all of the Aes Sedai yearn to protect ‘everyday people.’

 

 

3.2. What has been the greatest sacrifice your character has made to become an Aes Sedai?

 

Giving up her family.

 

3.3. How is your character going to Serve All?

Miahna’s cause is to find and serve justice to Darkfriends and eventually the Black Ajah.

 

 

3.4. What would you like your character to achieve? What are her ambitions in life? What kind of RP plans do you have in mind for your Sister?

Once again, I want her to hunt down darkfriends and eventually Black Ajah. Miahna’s ambitions are to keep people from the pain that Darkfriends cause, and to keep Darkfriends from ruining others lives. I would like to rp some of these instances of course. This could take her all over the world possibly and get her into tons of different situations, giving me the ability to rp with people on other boards. Then, I’d eventually like her to be one of the leaders of the Black Ajah hunt. I am thinking of requesting a Talent for seeing weave residues and this can help her out with the BA hunt.

 

 

3.5. How does your character feel about Warders in general and of the whole bonding?

 

I haven’t explored it ICly, but Miahna realizes the need for a Warder and would probably have one. I plan on doing an rp, either solo or with another Sister or Gaidin that discusses her having had a Warder who died. I think it would be interesting to write. I hope to eventually bond another player’s character allowing me to have another person to rp with.
