On my last re read of the books i noticed that rand uses the access key and the little man angreal at the same time at the end of book four. I was wondering if you guys think its possible to use two sa'angreal at the same time.

Two sa'angreal? Technically it should be possible... as you just open yourself to the Source thrpugh the angreals anf sa'angreal, I don't think there is a limit. The problem is that we.only know from one remaining sa'angreal attuned to both gender. The Vora wand and Callandor.

I don't know what the Vora is, but Callandor is men only.

This is what I said. And there isn't an angreal or sa'angreal that works for men as well as women. When I said for both gender, I meant both Choedan Kal are destroyed, and for men, there is only Callandor as Sa'angreal, and we hear of the wand in tGS, the sa'angreal Egwene is using against the Seanchan. White fluted wand, IIRC...

The word "both" in this context implies that it works for both men and women.  The word you want is "each."

And if you recall from The Dragon Reborn, the wand is the most powerful sa'angreal that the Tower has.  I don't recall if it was ever specifically stated that the Tower has others, but that is the strong implication.  And there may be/have been others in Rhuidean also.

"Each"? I thought "both" would work... :/

(Edit : as well as would have been even better...)

Right, there is a very strong implication that there are other sa'angreal in the White Tower, and maybe even one for men, certainly weaker than Callandor. But implication doesn't mean certainty, and I checked in the book, and Siuan only say this :

"Ho!" She (egwene) distantly heard Siuan's voice. "What's this? Light Egwene! Where did you get this? This is the most powerful one in the Tower!"

tGS, ch41 - A fount of Power.

So we don't know if she speaks of sa'angreal or angreal in general. And Egwene previously tell the novices that she and Adelorna are going to fetch more angreal, so I consider there are only angreal... but maybe in Rhuidean, yes.

Edit : I checked, and Egwene say :

"One of the few sa'angreal, and probably the most powerful, that the Tower possessed.

tDR, ch18 - Healing

Obviously, the Tower has more than two or three...

Can a man and a woman link and both use a sa'angreal?

Did you skip the Cleansing?  :D

I was only kidding!  :P

(Figured that since I ask a lot of stupid questions only a brain-dead person would ask, I'd ask a brain-dead question that I truly knew the answer to... just to get a rise.)  :-*

For some reason the number six comes to mind for how many sa'angreal the Tower has. I'm not sure where that's coming from.
