a beginning

Like most people I was graced by the WoT series. While picking up my books for college I found a corner that had some reduced books that were to be sold quickly. I rustled through the books and came upon Robert Jordan's The Eye of The World. The cover intrigued me so I picked it up. After finishing the book I ordered the remaining volumes. To anyone who hasn't had the pleasure of reading these epic books I would ask that you at least get the first "The Eye of The World" and see if you don't love it.

 

Now to tell you a little about myself.

I love to read books. That much should be obvious, but it takes a great book to pique my interests and Robert Jordan has done just that. His books are a breath of fresh air that I've been looking for. I hope to stay an active member and meet many more great people who believe that even a pen and paper can change people's lives.

Yes, the stories that are often penned onto paper can have a profound effect on the lives of those who read them. Stories bring joy, sorrow, anger, and any emotion between to those who read them. A true master writer, like Robert Jordan can suck you in so deep into a story that when you finish the book you are begging for more.

 

It is sad that such talent was lost to us when he passed, but the next generation shall pick up the mantle and I am sure he looks down on us and smiles knowing that his books have effected so many people as they have.
