The Red stone door terangreal in Tear.

I'm going through the books again (11th time) and while listening to book 4 again on audiobook, I noticed something I'd never heard/read before.  This has probably been discussed to death on these boards, but I thought I'd toss it out there due to Sanderson's mention of the secret in books  4-6.

I believe that Rand, Mat, and Moiraine were not the only one's to enter the Terangreal at that time.  I believe there was one other person who entered when they all did.

I  don't have the book with me, so I can't quote, but I'll give the run down by memory.

Matt enters the door, is escorted to the chamber to get his questions answered.

While there, the gong/bell sounds, and the snake people make a comment that along the lines that another has entered.  That was presumably Rand.

A second gong sounds, and the snake people say that the strain is too great.  This is where Moiraine entered.

As they are rushing Mat out, the gong sounds a third time, someone else entered the terangreal.  That person did not exit the terangreal when the others did.

Hmmmm, interesting.  I was just re-reading that passage, and the gong tolls quickly another couple of times even after that third gong.  I'm not sure if each tolling of the gong indicates another person entering the door ter'angreal, but it could signify some sort of breach in it, be it an entrance or exit.

Another possibility for the bell might be that it is an indicator that the Aelfinn replied to the person's question.

This was how I always looked at it, and it chimed the extra time because Mat got a 4th question answered.  "What Fate?" was that 4th question.

I always took the gongs to signfy warning of the increasing strain on the presense of two ta'veren. Moiraine states that could have torn the connection, and Finn's clearly value what they gain through the connection.
