Golden Globe Wraps

Golden Globes were this past weekend. I had a lot of opinions that I tweeted or whined to the air about. What did you guys think?

 

I'll just post a couple thought to start the discussion.

 

1. Juliana Marguiles winning Best Actress in a TV Drama for "The Good Wife" was awesome. She did a great job and the show is also great.

 

2. Avatar winning 'Best Picture' was a let down. It had phenomenal graphics, but the story line was just Pocahontas redefined, and supported the whole 'white man is necessary for natives to beat invading white man' crap. Obviously the natives couldn't have defeated themselves or you know Cameron couldn't have written a better story. I'll shut up now :P

 

I was also sad there was not more of NPH!

Avatar winning was a personal let down as well... but I understand why it won at least.  I fear it will also win best picture oscar but I hope the academy has better sense than that.

 

Ricky did a great job hosting I thought. 

 

Robert Downey Jr had the best acceptance speech.

 

It was good to see Lithgow and Hall win awards for acting.  Much deserved.
