mb
Narnia, it was generally entered through something that could be considered like a doorway. Circle series, Thomas Hunter like switched between the two worlds through dreaming. In both situations, other characters besides the ones that entered at first disbelieved (when told). Both methods could probably be considered magic like. Wheel of Time has both. Telaranrhiod generally similar to the dream method. Aelfinn/Eelfinn world similar to the doorway method; maybe also the Ways. Also Portal Stone worlds & doing a Gateway. The poll is about which method would be most believable. This thread can discuss things related to the methods and/or the worlds.
The Fisher King
Great topic, mb!!! I would just like to say that out of all books and movies and stuff my very favorite example of ''other worlds'' is Jordans Realm's of the Aef'linn and Eif'linn. Probably mostly because I thought Jordan did a Brilliant job of letting us sense - through mat's eyes - just how very very.....straaange....those worlds are. Kati
I like the idea of entering other worlds through "doorways" or "portals". I think because it seems like the coolest way and you dont need special powers to do it.
mb
Voted doorway & magic. Because the person's body would be physically absent.
