Uwe Boll to get awards

German video game film-maker Uwe Boll (BloodRayne, Dungeon Siege, Alone in the Dark) was honored this weekend with two film awards. If you think I'm talking about the Oscars, you are wrong... and insane...and probably on drugs. Boll won two Golden Raspberry awards. It's the statues given out to folks who do a terrible job at making movies.

 

While the Razzie for Worst Picture went to Mike Myers for his horrible The Love Guru (no surprise there), Uwe Boll took home the prize for Worst Director and also earned the honor of a lifetime achievement award, given for his cumulative body of terrible films. According to Razzies founder John Wilson, Boll is the "worst living director on earth."

 

Say what you want about Boll. He has a sense of humor. Boll was kind enough to respond to the prize with a video rejection speech from a fake set of Darfur, Sudan. Boll said the Razzes had ruined his life and he would never be back. Would that were so.
