Battlestar Galactica Season 4.5

These are the final 10 episodes ever (although the final episode is triple-length, so it's more like 12) and will be followed by a second TV movie in June. That's it. The sets have been torn down and were apparently far too expensive to ever be rebuilt for a single TV movie or anything, so that's BSG done and dusted.

 

The first episode back is jam-packed with revelations (including allegedly the BIG ONE and yes, it has already leaked so beware spoiler sites for now) and unexpected twists and turns (including one which apparently blindsided even the most rabid fan reviewers). However, it's the later episodes which will answer the really huge mysteries in the show, such as the identity of the 'head people', Hera's destiny, what is going on with the opera house visions and so forth. According to the producers there's only a couple of elements they didn't have time to revisit, but the show gets a lot of closure before it goes.

 

The first episode back airs Friday in the USA and next Tuesday in the UK.
