Howdy Guys!

Noob from South Africa signing in! I've been reading Robert Jordan since I was eleven years old (Doesn't say much, as that was in 2001... ::) I'm quite the avid fan of the series, and I find that, apart from influencing my style of thinking and behaviour, Jordan's books have always been something to escape to if things got rough...I wish there could be an infinte set of these series...I only hope that sometime there will be another author with half the skill at creating a deep, meaningful environment. You guys don't need to hear me try explain these books, since I guess everyone here has read each one at least 10 times, but they really are something special, and also something that can only be enjoyed by us who can appreciate...brilliance. My other hobbies include archery, and I have recently taken up kung fu, as I am visiting in china for two months. Apart from that, I do sailing, enjoy reading (duh!), and also have a fondness for Japanese Anime. So if there's any anime fans out there... :). I am also a devoted Trekkie (as my nick suggests...)

I look forward to being a part of this community, and (hopefully) making some valid contributions

Huh neat, another South African.  Elgee is also from down thaddaway, and is trying to convince the rest of us that she likes to join her down south! *grins*

 

What part of the community are you most interested in?  There's the book discussion (which is fun, if you can keep up with the fast pace in some of the threads), the Orgs (which are social groups), and the roleplay (which is the bestest part... I'm biased, though).  I definitely won't tell you to check out one thing over the other, but rather to check it all out and sample around.  It's a pretty good place overall to socialize and share a love of the books, so explore it well.. and, of course, be welcome!
