Figured it was best to admit straight up that I'm a newbie. I've been off work today and finally cracked into Eye of The World which has been sitting on my shelf forever. Bang went the day, I'm 300 pages in and loving it. Given that my husband and friends are all morons, ie they don't read, I'm loving the idea of having a place to chat with like minded folk. Looking forward to getting to know people and exploring the site.

 

Oh, and I'm from Swindon in England..if you know it, you'll know that there are only 12 of us in the entire town who can actually read  ;)

hey and welcome, you'd be surprised though there migth well be someone near you (if not in your town) reading the books

 

i myself keep learning of others from my corner of the world who are members here on DM... ;) though have yet to meet any of them real life

I could have ended up living in Swindon, but Nationwide didn't want me. And my other connection to Swindon is seeing Swindon Town F.C. play Ipswich Town when both were in the Premier League. My best friend from primary school was an avid Robins fan and took me to a home game.

Weeelll I don't know much about England other than they gave us some grief back in the day, but I am glad to meet you ZoZo. And am truly sorry that you did not start reading the Wheel of Time earlier. But better late than never I always say. I am currently reading "Path of Daggers" for either the first time or the second right now... I seem to have forgotten WAY too much if I have read it before.. either that or I thought that I read it before and I just actually read a chapter or two and forgot about not reading it all... Anyways glad to have you here! And even if you just join the "boring" forums and not RP then you will still be a welcome addition (sorry you non-RP'ers I had to say it). But I do wish that you will join the RPing part of the community, particularily the Black Tower. HAHA I was the first to request out of everyone. No really though, no matter what you decide to do here on Dragonmount we are all glad to have you here.

Now that's an interesting statement - from which I shall hazard a guess that you're American. I'm married to an American you see, so I know how little they tend to know about any country outside of the US. Bless :)
