Alright, I need fashion advice again.

I have this dress that I'm going to wear at Dragon*Con this year, in the parade. Keep in mind that I'll have my Amyrlin stole on over my shoulders.

I need jewelry for it, so I've been browsing eBay tonight for pieces that might work. I'm feeling sort of exotic, so I'm looking at Indian tikkas especially. I dunno, I feel like I've done the tiara thing to death.

I realize that you might not know what a tikka is, so here is an example of one being worn. Its the thing sitting on her head that rests on her forehead.

So here's what I'm looking at:

Option #1.

Its a full set of jewelry, tikka, necklace and earrings. I cannot wear pieced earrings, so I'll probably sell or give those away to someone else. b2_2.JPG

I like the colors. They remind me of my stole, except for the hot pink. But eh, what are you going to do? Here's just the tikka by itself:

It looks like I can adject the necklace to be more of a choker, so I'm not too worried about the size.

Option #2.

Same style set, but in aqua.

Its hard to tell from the lighting in the dress photo, but the skirt has some aqua undertones to it. Its that fabric that changes color slightly as you move. Gorgeous stuff.

Option #3 is to buy the aqua tikka alonw, without the necklace and useless earrings.

Option #4.

This option is to buy a bindi. This is the little dot thingy that sticks to your forehead.

Actual size is about half an inch in diameter. I'm just not sure if this will be dramatic enough.

So any thoughts?

That's a very pretty dress. Unfortunatly, I can only see the dress, the woman wearing a tikka, and the first picture of option #2. So option 2 is looking pretty good to me.

Isn't the bindi only for married women. Oh wait, that's right. Seg.

This is the only one of me in my stole I can find right now. I'll keep looking.

EDIT: Found a better one.

I'm not much for a lot of jewelry, or big jewelry pieces, so I would go with just the tikka (also considering you'll have the stole around you too). But that's just me... lol. :)

Very pretty dress... :)

Yeah, thats what I've been thinking. But the other sets are just so SPARKLY. I'm sick, I know.

That's true. But the multi-colored ones are just so nice. Sure you can't get that tikka alone, or does it only come in the set?

And I like that stole. And the second picture were you saying something odd? RJ has this sorta, "Get me away from the crazy lady.", type of look.

He always has that look when I'm around. Something about a "restraining order", whatever THAT is.

And I've been plowing through eBay all night. I can only find that tikka as part of a set. But since I'm already planning to not wear the earrings, I can live without wearing the necklace if it comes to that.

Oh, I really like that last blue one. I'd say a close one between the blue and the multi-colored. The multi-colored is a nice one for Amyrlin, since it has, for the most part, the Ajah's colors. But the blue one would look great with that dress.

So if it's an Amyrlin themed one your looking for, I'd go with the multi-colored one. If it's a great looking one with that dress, it'd be the blue.

And I feel that it's very important for me to punch someone then beat my chest while making loud, agressive noises.

There are several things you can get at craft stores to convert pierced earrings into clipons, btw. Just so you're aware.

Thanks, Taei. I had no idea such things existed. I don't wear much jewelry anymore, so I suppose it doesn't matter in the long run.

I'm no closer to choosing than I was a few days ago. Sigh.

Well then, you know what that means? Eeny Meeny Miny Moe time!

Or the Magic 8-ball.

Or flip a coin. Three heads in a row mean it's fated.

If I were you, I'd go with just the tikka from the last blue set. I'm a simple jewelry kind of person, and I'm usually found to be wearing the same pair of silver hoops for weeks on end :D , but tikkas are very cool.

I ended up buying the dark blue set. I need to get some pictures of me wearing it with the dress so you all can see.
