Do you believe in re-incarnation?

No.  I believe the soul lives forever.

Re-incarnation refers to the rebirth of a soul. So, anybody believing in re-incarnation most likely must believe in the infinite existence of a soul.

Any specific reason for not believing in souls, Majsju? I would just like to know why.  ;)

Guess that didn't make much sense, did it?  In short, I follow the Christian tradition.  We all live once, die, and then our everlasting soul goes to one of two places.

To re-incarnation skeptics:

What have you to say about the various proof that has been put forward, where people recall info about former lives? I myself was a skeptic but some of the proof was just so strong that I eventually got convinced. The link in the first post has that stuff if you really have many hours of free time. ;D

When I have several free hours, I'll check it out.

If you know a bit of history, it is not that hard to come up with a credible story.

That's an unfair rejection to all the work that skilled proffessional have put in to research all this. I rarely accept anything without strong proof and it is more than just history.

Some people are able to recall parts of their former lives. Generally these 'memories' return at an early age. There have been several instances where small children aged below 10 have provided an astoundingly accurate summary of their 'former' life and when these were checked, they were found to the very coherent.

Furthermore, many of these people were telling the same stories under hypnosis, which suggests that they are not lying. Of course it can't be lies anyway because the info was just too accurate. A 5 year old child even drew the plan of her former home and it was found to match. This former home was practically in the middle of nowhere (very remote village) and her present self lives in a city.

Most professionals who have interviewed this people suggest that when people abruptly die, they re-incarnate quickly and retain some of their memories.

Anyone heard of Edgar Cayce? He was quite a guy. Predicted tonns of stuff that all came true and also provided much insight into re-incarnation.

Here in lays the problem with your statement.. proof=conclusive evidence.Statements made while under hypnosis have been proven wrong in so many cases, hence they are not allowed as evidence in a court of law.

If you beleive in this,or a "god" then that is your choice, and I wouldn't ever try to diswade you from it.However,if you wish to "prove" it to others,it will take a lot more than your statement made here.
