The Vampire is a role that begins as a powerless pro-Town Townie, but upon being lynched or nightkilled (or possibly just the latter), becomes a full-fledged member of the Mafia instead of dying. Alternatively the Vampire may have the option of whether or not they are resurrected, and also on which night they are resurrected. If the Vampire chooses not to be resurrected, they still win with the town. Obviously in an open setup there must be other mechanisms by which a role can be resurrected, and reasons why a role name might not be revealed on death.

Semirhage has the role of: Tje Flying Pumpkin That Shoots Lasers Out Of It's Arse. When she is under threat of being eaten ( being lynched or night killed ) then she will 'shoot a laser' and kill a random attacker.

 

Her alignment is to Ali Baba and his Thieves.

Nobody should be revealing. All that does is set yourself up to be a target. Even if you don't trust me,  :P , don't give yourselves away. And fake reveals are not helping anyone. It's not a good plan - just let it go.  :P

 

Say Rahvin is right: most players won't care much because this is fourth (or was it the fifth?) time that this is happened. Your character should have been the "little boy that cried wolf".

Rahvi - I have to tell you that I would have been more sympathetic if you had approached the group with your info first. You were just going to post it anyway, so there would have been no risk. And your associate can vouch that we have kept our word. Instead, you pull another big reveal, and by now you could have just thrown a handful of confetti into the air and yelled Happy New Year for all anyone cares.

 

Party-goers - The possibility of recruiting is very real, and I think we have only seen the tip of the iceberg as far as roles go. The best thing I can say is to play thoughtfully using common sense logic.

This should be stickied somewhere, it's so true, it gets annoying in the end for us who are not in on it :/

 

As for the whole Moggy/Rahvin business, it looks too good (or stupid, take your pick) to be true. Just when Rahvin was getting strongly suspected of being a symp, he pulls out a Mafia out of his sleeve that just... happened to confess to him? What I know for sure is that one of them is pulling the stupidest plan ever, just can't decide on who. At worse we can lynch them both, we'll be pretty sure to catch a Mafia that way.

And I don't know how you guys can be so sure that Rahvin's telling the truht about the PMs... I'd really like to hear what Moggy has to say before placing a vote.

 

And Rahvin, since Moggy seems to be a bomb, would you be ready to prove your good faith by being the one who lays the final vote? (assuming that's how it works)

Lanny is being awful quiet, unusual for her.  Lanny?  you got some 'splainin to do!

 

 

I don't know if Moggy is a bomb or not, but it is strongly possible that she is based on her cut/paste.  Course, she could have just typed that up, especially the typo in THE (TJE). I also am not as sure as Sammael as to how the bomb works, but I am pretty sure that when Moggy dies, Lanny will avenge her on me.

 

Forget your opinion of me for just a minute and read my posts at face value.  I haven't lied about anything I posted...but someone else has been doing a great deal of lying.  And in mafia...(say it with me)

So, say you vote with us on Moggy and Semi reveals in her coroner finding that she was a partygoer, feel free to lynch me then.  Moggy lied...and Lanny is in league with her....and she is now unnaturally quiet.

Sammael is talking about how a bomb works according to the role description. In the case of a lynch, the person that casts the "hammer" vote would trigger the bomb and suffer the consequences.

 

I believe that Sammeal is saying this to try and make some sense of the situation, which is something woefully lacking in this game in general.

 

When things get this confusing, it generally means that a mafia plan is in progress. I know, it is one of my favorite techniques. The way to overcome it is to use common sense.

 

First, we are not in danger of coming up against a deadline, so rushing a lynch is pointless. the more everybody posts, the better off we are because we have a greater chance of a catching a mafia slip.

 

The other thing is, I have spoken with multiple players who are a little overwhelmed by the complexity of the game, or just plain frustrated. A lot of times, this will lead to moves to just get some action going, and that usually works to the mafia's advantage.

 

The least thing is that we all have theories as to what is happening, but unless you are certain of something (as in you have proof) it always helps to voice it as a theory.  Just say "I think" instead of "I know" because you may unwittingly lead fellow players down the wrong path.

 

I think it is best to wait and get everybody's input on this situation before we decide on a lynch. If 24 hours go by and we still don't have anything, I'll start leaning towards voting, but let's give ourselves a chance to gather some info.

If that is the case, then I will be the hammer.  I will "unvote" by voting myself until we get close enough to vote.  Then, I will vote because quite frankly, I have a target on my head and little to offer other than my own observations....of which only the real sharp ones actually understood their signifigance.

Moridin, the jury is still out with you in my opinion, but it is likely that Lanny has been trying to curry your favor; hence, the reason lassie keeps barking at me when I point fingers at Timmy.

 

So, when we get close enough to Clinch the Lynch, I will deliver the "hammer" vote.  We cannot afford to let Moggy survive this one...she gets 2 night kills thanks to the Double-Mint player, and one has my name on it already.
