Messy, can you re-post your quote about Taim? You doubled up there and I would like to see the languae so that we can compare it to others.

 

I think it is fairly safe to say that there are multiple roles that need to be combined to win this game.

 

If we take the coroner, and the role thief, and anyone else who has a "finderish" role and synchronize our efforts, we can check everybody and figure out who the mafia are.

 

But don't reveal like Messy did! PM me and I can post the info without you risking yourselves. It is our best chance to win. Healer, please cover Messy tonight for the good of the innocents.

Yes, I think its a great idea for anyone who has a signifigent role to PM Moridin immediately.  And only him and no one else.  Trust him with everything you have because he must be innocent.

My plan is simple: It would seem that we have several players with information gathering roles. Alone, they are ineffective  due to the fact that they will more than likely all check the same people (whoever the most suspicious player is) and not be able to share any info with players they cannot trust.

 

But, if they all decided to work together, they could each check a different player each night greatly increasing our ability to find the mafia.

 

My role allows them to share the information with me, and then I can share it with the rest of the game.  I can't die, so I'm not worried about being killed. But, I can lose the game if I'm outnumbered by mafia.

 

At it's core, I think the game is about trust and working together. I don't think that the character names anyone was given matter, just the roles.

 

And I do think its good against evil, and not random teams in a last man standing scenario.

like i said before, it seemed like there was no benefit. and you should have sought people out once you had confirmed things about them. you know, like masons who work together to kill the evils... like we've been suggesting finder type roles do all along.

Messy, most thief roles are designed to either benefit the mafia, or are intended to be a solo-win role. If you are a thief and a party-goer, then it is a unique twist on the role.

 

Which would make sense, given that we all have unique twists on roles....

 

Rahvin, I am waiting on people to get information together so that it can all be organized. I will definitely announce what we have when it is all put together. 

 

Some of that depends on Messy, and whether she chooses to join us. We can only wait so long to act, so Messy, if you do wish to join us, please let me know.

I have received PM's from various players. I have to be at work in about 10 minutes (and it takes 20 to get there  ;) )

but, I will be back in about four hours. Then I can begin putting the pieces of the puzzle together. I'll PM everyone who had a chance to send me one and post whatever information is available for the group.

 

One of my PM's requested that I share the names of the other's who have PM'd me. As I have stated, one of the advantages of my role is that I can protect others while getting their information out. That means protecting them, and to do that I cannot share names.

 

However, I do believe that you have been in contact with others that you trust that can vouch for me, so ii do hope that you will consider joining us.

I do have some information, and what I think would work best would be to release basic results, holding back any identites of course. this was the plan from the start.

 

However, I'll wait to see if there are any objections. Messy's observation about letting the genie out of the bottle is true, so if anyone has an opinion on this, let me know.

 

Also, any player that has PM'd me with info: please pm me to say you are fine with the info being made public, or that you would rather not. I will honor all wishes.
