Perrin in the Seanchan prophecies

Long time lurker relistining to TSR.  When Perrin is packing up from the old sick house to go check on the White Cloak encampment he notices Verin looking at his hammer.  Is she simply curious as a brown or does she know something of the prophesies mentioned in KOD about Perrin.  Or are these simply Seanchan prophecies?

Thanks

AS she later asks him when he will give up the axe for the hammer (in TSR 56) it's a pretty safe guess that she knows. Presumably that part of the KC is not just part of the Seanchan version.

God only knows that Verin knows and what she is up to.  We know that aquiring knowlege is what the Browns are all about and condisering that other ajahs have secret weaves that they don't share with other ajahs, I would not be suprised if the Browns don't have certain knowlege that they don't share with other ajahs.  Verin is a varitable Ultra-Brown, I would say that she not only has more knowlege than any othr Brown but also that she has info that she doesn't even share with her own ajah.  So I guessing that she does know the Seanchan prophacies.

Second only to reading Moiraine's story line, the thing I am most excited about in reading AMoL will be finding out exactlly what Verin has been up to.

It's stated as a part of the karaetheon Cycle, which is known in Randland too--beyond which, Ishamael and Lanfear both make reference to it as well. So quite clearly it is one of the common prophecies.

Not to quibble, but, Wolf King portions of the Prophecies that mention the Wolf King would be anything but "common". The Katherenean Cycle whether those known in Randland or the corrupted version none in the Seanchen Empire are several hundred pages long, translated from the old Tongue and as we all know the meaning of any verse of it is quite complicated. It appears that the parts that mention the Wolf King are quite small in number. Thus the Wolf King portions of the Prophecies should be seen as obscure not normally known to even those who study the Prophecies. This leads to an interesting question.  Morraine who made the Dragon Reborn  her life's' work (and thus had studied the Prophecies) and knew  of Perrin's link to wolves never seems to have tied Perrin to the Wolf King prophecies. On the other hand not only Verin but a common soldier (an officer but not of the high blood) in the Seanchen army not only knew of the Wolf King prophecies but linked Perrin to them from seemingly casual observations.

I agree with Leopoled Boothe, Verin has always been a mystery to me. In some ways I know she is on the side of the light, and I just get comfortable with that, then she does something that brings in the doubts. To find out what Verin has been up to is to me, almost as intriguing as who killed Asmodean.
