Kedyn's arms almost instinctly snaked around Miria as she moved closer to him, resting around her waist in the small of her back. "Much better. I don't think I've ever felt so good." The familier sensation passed along his skin as Miria's finger slowly drew across him. The ghost touch that followed the finger and the fluttering feeling in his stomach, followed by the sensation that her finger was still there even much after it had already left.

Kedyn slowly closed his eyes as her finger trailed over them and grinned as her lips pressed against them afterwards. "So I should go, but burn me if I want to let you out of my sight." Kedyn shook his head with a small sound of protest, his arms tightening aorund her in defience as she moved closer before pressing her lips against his once again.

"Maybe just a few minutes longer. You should sleep." Kedyn smiled and let his head fall to the bed, perfectly content to stay where he was with Miria's head resting on his chest. "So should you." Kedyn said, mirroring the yawn on Miria's lips.

Ever so slowly Miria's breathing began to slow until they became the measured breaths of someone asleep. Kedyn smiled and twisted his head to kiss Miria on the top of her's softly before resting himself back on the pillow. He didn't close his eyes just yet, only allowed his heart to slow from it's race. Idly he ran his fingers along the curve of Miria's back, knowing she couldn't feel it because hse was asleep, content for now to simple relish the feeling of her sleeping against him, he rhead resting on his chest. He could feel the slow rythmic beat of her heart through his chest, and he looked down with a small smile to stare into her closed eyes.

But as the seconds rolled past that happiness began to wain as the small voice of doubt finally found it's oppurtunity to voice it's opinion. How could you have let this happen again. You realise that she has as much a chance of dying as Lavena. Are you truly prepared to take the risk of hurting yourself that much once again. You barely restrained yourself from ending the pain last time. No Kedyn was past this, he didn't care anymore the only thing that mattered was the love he felt inside. He would not lose Miria, he would make sure. If there was only one thing in the world he would do was make sure Miria survived until she was old and bouncing grandchildren on her knee.

Kedyn refrained from sleeping knowing all to well what sleeping tonight would bring. He may have a bad day tommorow and not look his best but it would stave off the nigtmares for a night, the dreams that always came when he was almost killed, teh pair of accusing green eyes that was all to often acompanied by the small face. Jenna.

"Kedyn!" Kedyn was immediately wide awake and his arms had already began to tighten around Miria. His voice shifting to a soothing tone to go along withhis words, bending his head to kiss Miria softly across her brow. Light it was her first battle and she already having nightmares. His little thief. He was truly worried for Miria as he tried to sooth her, sighing softly as she stopped moving about wildly and began to speak.

"I'm alright, it was just a bad dream. Though I'm glad you're here." Kedyn smiled and softly kissed Miria on the brow. "Please tell me you slept too." Kedyn smiled and shook his head once again amazed at how much women seemed to need you to do what they told you to. But he didn't want her to worry any more than she had to.

"I did love, your dreams simply woke me." It was only a small white lie to make Miria feel better which she desperately needed at the moment. "But you need to sleep as well. So go back to sleep. There won't be much rest tomorrow." Kedyn slowly ran his nails gently across Miria's back, trying to make Miria relax. In a soft cooing voice Kedyn said simply. "Sleep my love."

"I did love, your dreams simply woke me."Miria studied his features, as much as she could in the dark, wondering if he was telling her what she wanted to hear, or the truth. "But you need to sleep as well. So go back to sleep. There won't be much rest tomorrow. Sleep my love."Miria rested her head once more, unable to help herself but relax as Kedyn's nails gently scratched her back in a way that made her want to sigh as she melted.

Closing her eyes, she did let the soft sigh esacpe her as she snuggled more firmly against Kedyn's side. It was only a moment or two before the images of her dream returned, and she automatically stiffened, eyes snapping open once more. "I can't bear to watch it again." She whispered in the dark.

Idly she drew circles with her finger on Kedyn's firm chest, pausing to lay her palm on his heart, before it moved to brush his scarred neck. "I saw what Carnhain did to you." She murmured, turning so she could look up at Kedyn. "I saw it during the battle, and again in my dreams. And just now. I saw what happened, and I don't think I can bear to see it again." She wiggled over and pressed her lips softly against the bruises.

"Light help him if I see him tomorrow." She murmured, her brow furrowing. She doubted if she would be able to keep her hands from around the blonde man's throat, if he were to cross her path. Pushing herself up on one elbow, Miria looked down into Kedyn's eyes, her fingers tracing his features gently, lovingly. Burn her if she could help but touch him. How had she resisted before? "Once I saw you, saw what he was doing...I no longer feared for myself." A faint smile curved her lips. "All I worried about was you, and how there was little point living without you." Her finger lingered on the curve of his lower lip, before drifting down to his neck once more.

"I've never wished harm upon anyone before. Until now." The admission was very soft, but Miria could not deny the anger that coursed through her everytime the image flashed across her mind. She knew, in that moment, that if she had the chance to wreak vengeance on Carnhain, for what he tried to do, she would, and the thought terrified her. Her eyes flashed darkly. Look at what that fool man had done!

Kedyn's hand slowed and then stopped all together as he thought Miria was going back to sleep, her snuggling closer and her breathing beginning to slow once again. She stiffed as her eyes closed in a way that made Kedyn nervous all over again. "I can't bear to watch it again." Kedyn sighed softly, worried for Miria and wanting to end her pain and yet knowing there was little he could do that he wasn't already.

"I saw what Carnhain did to you." So that was what was bothering her. Kedyn couldn't blame her, he knew that that image would haunt him on occasion but because it had almost killed him not because it had been Carnhain. "I saw it during the battle, and again in my dreams. And just now. I saw what happened, and I don't think I can bear to see it again."

A small grimace passed over Kedyn's face, though the pain was mixed in with pleasure as Miria's lips presssed softly on the now yellowing bruises on his neck. Almost instinctively his arm tigtened around Miria and held her closer to him.

"Light help him if I see him tomorrow." Kedyn smiled at Miria as she propped herself on one elbow and from the tingling sensation running across his skin as her finger traced over his skin. But underneath he couldn't decide what he was feeling. Dissapointment, fear, he knew that any sane man would agree with Miria. Because of all Carnhain had ever done to him Kedyn had all the right he needed to hate the man, but on the flipside from all the times Carnhain had stood by him he was the greatest friend Kedyn had.

Kedyn had seen this before. Lavena had disliked, even hated Layne, for all the time she had known him because he had almost got Kedyn killed. Her protectiveness had caused her to hate the man, no matter how much Kedyn had wanted her to like the man. The scar across his side and the other on his shoulder both came from the men that had been sent to kill Layne, all Kedyn could do that night was hold his side as his lifeblood drained from him, saved only by the quick thinking of those fighting around him.

"Once I saw you, saw what he was doing...I no longer feared for myself. All I worried about was you, and how there was little point living without you." Kedyn had no idea what he could say to Miria's words, only knowing that his love for her was soaring inside his breast as she showed how much she cared for him.

"I've never wished harm upon anyone before. Until now." Kedyn sighed unhappily. He accepted Miria's feelings knowing that by all rights he could feel the same way. The small line on the knot of his throat was a scar from where Carnhain had tried to kill him the first time, the scar on his shoulder from when Carnhain had gone insane fighting the assasins, and the newest one that was most likely going to be on his leg from their newest encounter. But all

Kedyn thought was how thankful he was Miria didn't know about the other two, and how he would go see his friend in the morning to see how he was doing and apologize in advance for what Miria might do to him.

"Try my love, try and banish those thoughts. If never I tell you some advice it would be to never wish harm upon someone. There is so much hate, so much anger that courses through us with what we go through that when we begin to add some we become bitter and begin to enjoy the harm we inflict." Kedyn reached out and ran a finger to push a small lock of hair off her brow. All the time his words had sounded hollow in his ears, even thought his voice had been full of emotion. In his heart of hearts he harborded wishes against the Aiel Demons, those that had taken Lavena with him. And he didn't think those would subside any time soon. "And if ever you begin to enjoy what we do, that is when you stop."

"And Carnhain he..." Kedyn sighed softly and looked up to the cieling to collect his thoughts. "He has many of his own demons to deal with, and I don't think he deserves a vengeful Angel chasing after him. Today was, it wasn't his fault. He couldn't know who I was, if I was real."

"But if I can't stop you, my Angel, I guess Carnhain will have to deal with you himself and I have to feel sorry for him. Though hopefully you won't get your revenge the way you did to me. I don't know if I could take it." Kedyn sniffed and wiped at his eye, making an overly pained expression on his face, bringing a hand up to place his palm on his forehead before breifly sticking his tounge out at Miria with a smile.

"Try my love, try and banish those thoughts. If never I tell you some advice it would be to never wish harm upon someone. There is so much hate, so much anger that courses through us with what we go through that when we begin to add some we become bitter and begin to enjoy the harm we inflict." Miria frowned slightly as Kedyn spoke. She knew he was right, knew that there was enough hurt and anger in the world without adding to it. Light, she'd seen enough conflict that day to last her a lifetime, yet it didn't help to dispell the anger she felt.

"And if ever you begin to enjoy what we do, that is when you stop."Miria shuddered at the thought. Light help her if she ever grew used to battle, let alone enjoy it. She hated to imagine what kind of a monster that would make her. "He has many of his own demons to deal with, and I don't think he deserves a vengeful Angel chasing after him. Today was, it wasn't his fault. He couldn't know who I was, if I was real." Miria sighed. Burn him if it wasn't annoying when he was right. And burn her if she didn't know it. Still, that didn't mean she couldn't give Carnhain a piece of her mind. Besides, Kedyn didn't even need to know about it.

"But if I can't stop you, my Angel, I guess Carnhain will have to deal with you himself and I have to feel sorry for him. Though hopefully you won't get your revenge the way you did to me. I don't know if I could take it."Miria couldn't help but smile, liking the way he called her his angel. She chuckled at his dramatics though, whatever else he may be, he was a dreadful tease.

Miria gave him a playful punch to the ribs, shaking her head with a smile. "I think you missed your calling, you should have been an actor for sure." She chuckled at the picture of him performing on a stage. "I can see just how devastated you are." She said dryly, poking him again for emphasis. Strange, but no matter what the situation or circumstance, Kedyn could always make her smile.

"Something tells me there isn't much you wouldn't be able to handle, old man." She said with a cheeky grin, pushing thoughts of just what she would say to Carnhain to the back of her mind. No need to bother Kedyn with it, if he was just going to be annoyed. Her cheek dimpled with mischief. "Though, you've yet to handle me." She teased, blissfully unaware of the double meaning her words could have. "I'm sure I could prove quite the handful, If I wanted to." She grinned at him, her eyes glinting with pure mischief.

Stifling a yawn, she wriggled a little closer to Kedyn, determined not to go back to sleep and dream. Her side ached, a dull roar in comparison to the elation that flooded her at Kedyn's smile. Light, all he had to do was smile at her and she went weak at the knees. His body gave her warmth, not only because he was warm, but because of the effect it had on her own body. She'd never even kissed a man before tonight, and here she was now, cuddling up to one! Still, there was no where else she'd rather be, even if the flutters in her stomach were most distracting.

She yawned again, and frowned, stretching. "I don't want to go back to sleep." She murmured, half to herself, an image of the dream once more haunting her before she could push it away. "Help keep me awake?" She asked, resting her head on Kedyn's shoulder once more.

Kedyn smiled at the thought of what his life would be like if he was an actor instead of a soldier, but immediately dissmissed the thought that it could be any better than now. He would never have met Lavena, would never have met Carnhain, and at the moment the most important, never have met Miria.

"Though, you've yet to handle me." Kedyn outright chuckle took him shaking to Miria shifting against him in a way that sent excitement shooting through his chest, his body reacting to the touch in a way that made Kedyn thankful it was dark. "I'm sure I could prove quite the handful, If I wanted to." Kedyn simply nodded as he shook with Mirth, knowing his little angel most likely did not see the double meaning to her words if she was as innocent as she was proving to be.

"I don't want to go back to sleep. Help keep me awake?" Kedyn nodded and tightened his arm around Miria for a moment before releasing the pressure. His hand moved to idly run his nails along her back as he got a rather wicked idea.

Kedyn opened his mouth and began to sing in a soft voice, a slow ballad about two lovers that he had known for a long time. Kedyn knew he had a good singing voice, or at least had been told he had one when people hear him. He began to wonder as he began to sing about Miria's words only moments before. He wondered if he would have been more suited to the life of some roving bard or gleeman, having as many skilss with those as he did at soldiering. It was a rather sad song, though it ended with a happy note, the two lovers living together for long lives, happy.

It was only after he had finished that he began to wonder if he should have chosen a more lively song as he looked down to see Miria's eyes closed, though there was a smile on her face.

Kedyn smiled and ran his fingers down Miria's spine as his rather wicked plans came to fruition. He knew he might pay for this, but she had asked to be kept. "Did my song not work Angel?" Miria mumbled something into his chest, showing she was still awake. Kedyn's hand left Miria's back for a few moments. "I guess this will have to do." Kedyn's hand lowered again as he pinched Miria's rump sharply, accompanied by a rather wicked grin and mischevious light in his eye as he looked down at her, preparing himself for Miria's retribution.

Miria smiled at the hug, feeling more than seeing Kedyn's nod. What happened next surprised her, she didn't know what she had expected, but it wasn't the sweet richness of Kedyn's voice as he began to sing to her softly. He was always full of surprises, it seemed, her eyes drifting closed as she listened to the words, the combination of the song and Kedyn's scratching fingernails making her relax totally.

"Did my song not work Angel?" A pleasureable shiver followed his fingers along her spine, and she mumbled incoherently against his chest, not quite asleep, but very close to it, she was so relaxed.

"I guess this will have to do."The words didn't register in Miria's sleep-befuddled mind until she felt a sharp pinch on her behind, causing her eyes to snap open as she jumped. Kedyn's grin was smugly wicked as he looked at her, and she gaped as she realised just what he had done.

"Oh, you're asking for trouble." She murmured , before she turned and pounced on him, ignoring the slight pull in her side as she bit his ear, her fingers tickling his ribs. "Think you can still get away with that mischief do you?" She whispered in his ear before she shifted and her teeth sank into his shoulder, her hands seeking out all the ticklish places she could think of on his torso as she returned the favour.

"If you thought I payed you back before, youhave no idea what trouble you're in for." She chuckled, mirth dancing in her eyes as her fingers snaked down to pinch his own rump in retribution. "I was easy on you before, but now you're going to cop it all!" She giggled, making a valiant effort to avoid his hands that were trying to bat away her tickling fingers.

"Oh, you're asking for trouble." Kedyn smiled and prepared himself, though he wasn't queite prepared for what Miria was about to do to him. She moved and a concerned look across his face that was replaced by an ooomph as Miria pounced on top of him. A stange excitement pulsating through him as Miria's teeth slowly bit into his ear.

"Think you can still get away with that mischief do you?" Kedyn flinched lightly but again the exciting feelings pulsating from teh touch as Miria's teeth sank into his shoulder. And suddenly everything was somewhere else and he was squirming beneath Miria as her fingers found all the places that were ticklish on his torso.

Kedyn's eyes widened in surpise and he grinned at the words Miria was speaking as he fingers pinched his buttom in revenge, He knew that he was in for it but also knew he would enjoy every moment. His hands tried to bat way her fingers, moving against Miria. The movement along with the strangely exciting bites sent pleasure pulsating through Kedyn's body and began to react to the touch.

Kedyn struggled agianst Miria for w few more moments before he was able to catch one of her hands and stop some of the tickling. His body still shook with mirth at the other, though now he had some control. He moved his head in closer so that his lips connected with the side of Miria's neck and he pressed his lips against them gently, before closing his teeth on the sking gently.

Kedyn continued to shake as he tried to fight back. His words were borken by the laughter that Miria's tickling was eliciting. "It that...all you can....manage love? I thought...I couldn't handle you." Kedyn's head moved to bite down lightly on Miria's shoulder as he mirrored the motions she moved through.

Finally his other hand cauhgt Miria's free and his two hand's interlaced with her fingers. He pulled her close and brought her mouth onto his into a kiss that set his nerves ablaze and lost himself to the rest of the world. He hadn't meant to kiss her, having things in mind to get some revenge at what she had been doing to him, but his passion took over as he looked into her eyes and there had been nothing else he had wanted to do.

Shock lanced through Miria as Kedyn's teeth grazed the sensitive skin at her neck, never expecting the sensation to be so...exciting. Still she tried to continue tickling, wreaking what little revenge she could for his pinch. "It that...all you can....manage love? I thought...I couldn't handle you." His teeth on her shoulder sent another shiver down her spine, as though her entire body was waking up and being consumed by flames.

Miria let out a little cry of protest when Kedyn finally grabbed her other hand, twining his fingers with hers, though any words she would have uttered were immediately silenced when Kedyn's lips found hers, kissing her with a searing passion that took her breath away, and ignited a fire in her belly. The same fire was evident in Kedyn's eyes, drawing a fervent response from her that she was unable to withold, kissing him with all the love and passion she possessed.

Heat rose in her cheeks at the intimate touch of his tongue against hers, thrilling yet unnerving, since it was so very knew. Freeing one hand from it's confines in his warm, calloused grip, she traced the line of his jaw, tingling all over at the strangeness of being half-draped over his solid frame as his kisses wreaked havock on her senses, his taste and smell intoxicating.

Her stomach flipped as her eyes closed against the sensual assault, her body aflame wherever it touched Kedyn. He was like an addictive drug, the more she took the more she wanted, so that she never wanted to leave the circle of his arms, the heat of his kisses, the embrace of his love. Lifting her head, she looked down at him with passion glazed eyes. "Light, why does it seem like I could never get enough of you, if I lived to be 1000?" She said softly, wonderingly, a smile curving her kiss-swollen lips as her finger traced the moist outline of his.

Slowly she dipped her head once more, her hair falling about their faces as her lips collided with his once more, thoughts of paying back the teasing man temporarily gone as she focused on the rush of sensation assaulting her senses, the way her hand trembled with a need she couldn't even define, except she knew, on some subconscious level, that the only fulfillment she would find would be with Kedyn.

Shivers travelled down her spine, following the path of his fingers, her lips moving to blaze a trail across his jaw to his neck, where she paused, lifting her head, confusing working to make some of her passion ebb. After everything that had happened that day, after the death and the violence she had seen...how could she lose herself in Kedyn's arms, in his kiss? Was that what a light skirt was?

Light, but she didn't know, her body screamed with unamed need, again for what she didn't know, the way her body trembled both delightful yet scary. She loved Kedyn, with all that she was, and all that she had, she could not deny that. Yet should her body be reacting this way? She blushed, realising just how brazen she had been acting. She gave Kedyn a sheepish smile, suddenly embarrassed by what she saw as loose behaviour, and not sure now what she should do, lowering her head and hiding her face in the front of his shirt, knowing she should move away, but unable to push her heated body that far. Light, but what must Kedyn think of her, leaping eagerly into his arms as she did. Or was it alright, when you were in love. Light, but she wished she knew.

Kedyn took a deep breath as Miria pulled away from his lips, the touch remaining and the memory of her tounge dancing with his setting a heat in his chest that he had not felt in a long time. "Light, why does it seem like I could never get enough of you, if I lived to be 1000?" Kedyn sighed happily as he agreed wholeheartily, Miria's finger tracing over his lips.

Kedyn lifted his head to meet Miria's as she leaned foreward, chuckling lightly against her lips as her hair played across his cheeks in a tickling fashion. His fingers moved down her spine as his tounge danced with Miria's. His body felt aflame and his sense were dulled by the sheer intoxication of being this close to Miria. Her lips moved away from his and the only thing preventing Kedyn from protesting was the rather delightful feeling of her lips moving along his jaw and to his neck.

Kedyn looked down slightly suprised as Miria stopped all of the sudden stopped. He smiled as he saw the red tinge on her cheeks and wondered what had passed through her mind to make her blush so, wondering why she shoulde feel embaressed by a kiss after all they had done so far. Unless of course her thoughts had ventured beyond their simple banter.

Kedyn reached out a hand and slowly stroked Miria's hair as she buried her face in his chest, wishing for the sensation of the touch of her lips but at the moment content with simple the feeling of her against him. His hand moved, back to idly scratch her back the way she seemed to enjoy so much as he tried to stifle a yawn wondering how sleep could enter his thoughts with his body feeling so alive. "Using my chest as a pillow my love? I would think it might be a bit more uncomfortable than an actual pillow. Of course I can't say I mind."

Another yawn threatened to appear but Kedyn forced it away. His hand moved to Miria's lower back as it traced her spine and slowly slipped under her shirt to scratch at the lower half of her spine. His fingers were tingling at the contact. "I was going to say that perhaps, sleep would be a good thing. But I can't seem to make myself care right now." Kedyn's lips once again pressed down Miria's light blonde hair and the small smile that seemed plastered to his face was still bright as he idly ran his nails along Miria's back. He felt as if he was waiting for something, something he couldn't quiet but knowing that he desperately wanted it to come soon.

Light but it was hard to force her thoughts into some semblance of order while Kedyn continued to touch her in such a distracting manner, scratching her back in a way that made her want to purr. "Using my chest as a pillow my love? I would think it might be a bit more uncomfortable than an actual pillow. Of course I can't say I mind." Miria smiled against his chest, fighting a silent battle in her head. Her heart, her body, wanting to fall into his arms again, to kiss him until she was breathless, her mind telling her that that was how a flipskirt behaved.

Her eyes widened as she felt the warmth of his fingers slip beneath her shirt, a tremor coursing through her body in reaction to the touch. Why should she fight what her body wanted? Was it such a bad thing? It certainly felt right, no it felt better than that, it was incredible. She'd never imagined a simple touch could so much, could make her blood sing. "I was going to say that perhaps, sleep would be a good thing. But I can't seem to make myself care right now."

Miria groaned softly against his shirt, a rueful smile on her lips. Did Kedyn know just how irresistable he was? At how difficult he was making it for her to fight her mind? "Can't think...when you do that." She mumbled, closing her eyes as her skin peppbled, following the enticing path of his nails on her spine.

Lifting her head, a blush still marking her cheeks and her breathing ragged, she looked into his clear blue eyes and smiled softly. "Do you have any idea what you do to me?" She breathed earnestly, awe in her tone as she felt herself slowly drown in his gaze. Shaking her head slightly in an attempt to clear the enrapturing fog surrounding her, she traced her fingers down his neck, to the braod expanse of his chest, his shoulder. "I just can't stop touching you." She breathed, her finger tips running down the inside of his arm to pause at his wrist where a rapid pulse was beating. "If that's what it means to be a lightskirt, then light help me, I can't help it." She murmured half under her breath as she pressed her lips against Kedyn's mouth once more, the tiny voice of protest drowned out by the overwhelming flood of desire crashing through her body.

The heat seemed so intense, Miria was surprised she didn't burst into flames from the passionate kisses, let alone the hand that continued to burn along her spine, his calloused palm on her smooth, unblemished skin. Her hand shook as she tangled it in his hair, holding him close, not able to get close enough. She struggled to breath, but didn't care, not wanting to stop the incredible contact, never wanting to let Kedyn go. Her body was weary, yet she had never felt so alive, as though her whole life she had been caught in a dream, and this, now, was what reality was.

Tearing her mouth away Miria dragged air into her lungs reluctantly, her chest heaving from the effort, her whole body aflame where it was pressed intimately against Kedyn's. Her hand shook as she brushed his hair back from his brow, her smile just as shaky and her eyes shining with love and desire, all for Kedyn. "I never knew love could feel like this." She admitted softly, raining light kisses over his cheeks, as though unable to stop herself.

Do you have any idea what you do to me? I just can't stop touching you." Kedyn shivered lightly as Miria's finger traced over his neck and chest, and down the inside of his arm to rest for a moment on his wrist. He knew Miria could feel how fast his heart was racing through his skin, as much as he could feel inside his own chest. "If that's what it means to be a lightskirt, then light help me, I can't help it."

Kedyn would have said something, more than one rather teasing comment came to mind but Miria's lips closed over his own to silence anything possibility and making all other thoughts dissapear. His hand continued to run up and down Miria's spine as her hand tangled in her hair and pressed him more firmly against her.

"I never knew love could feel like this." Kedyn breathed deeply, raggedly as the air Kedyn breathed in left him shakily. Kedyn chuckled lightly as Miria's smaller kisses began to rain down over his cheeks, tickling him lightly. "It feels like nothing else in the world." Kedyn whispered softly. He had known the feeling before, and had condemned himself to the fact he would never until Miria appeared.

Now everything had changed. He had been revived from his state of walking dead where he could feel nothing to now where he felt near the bursting level with love, where his veins felt like fire was courisng through him and his fingers were tingling hwere they were lying on Miria's smooth skin.

Miria lifted her head for a moment, her cheeks flushed with a bright red marring the paler angelic beauty of her face, framed by her flowing blonde hair. Beauty in it's purest form, a face that positively glowed in Kedyn's eyes. Kedyn's free hand moved to bring Miria closer and pressed his lips to hers once again. The feeling of his tounge caressing Miria's and his hand travling up Miria's back cracked and broke the dam that held back any control his mind had over his actions.

His heart and passion took over. Kedyn's hand moved from beneath Miria shirt, and behind Miria's head and began to attack the laces of her shirt. Somewhere a small voice was telling him that he shouldn't, that he was going to fast. But it was drowned by the passion coursing through his viens and the louder voice that told him how much he wanted this to happen.

"It feels like nothing else in the world."Miria agreed whole-heartedly. Nothing had ever felt like this, her heart so full it seemed to be bursting in her chest, the wonder that seemed to flood her being when she recognised the same emotion in his eyes. She had never felt so safe, so wanted, so...beautiful as she did now. And combined with his kisses, the intoxicating closeness of their bodies, his hands on her skin...she felt like she was drowning in a heated sea of bliss.

Any uncertainty she may have felt before was thrown out the window as Kedyn again pulled her head down to his for a searing, heart melting kiss. Her whole body was aflame, tremors coursing through her small frame with the strength of her desire, her need. Light, she didn't even know what it was she sought, only that she was running towards it head-on, at full speed. And she didn't want to stop.

A mumble of protest left her lips as Kedyn's hands moved away from her, her befuddled mind registering somewhere that he was removing her shirt, causing her skin to pebble in response to the suddenly cooler air. A tiny voice urged caution, tried to force her to stop it, but Miria was powerless against the sensual enslaught of Kedyn's caloused hands on her bare back, the fire in her belly craving more of his touch, wanting to be as close to Kedyn as she could.

Tentatively she snaked a hand under Kedyn's shirt, lightly touching the warm skin at his side, her fingers shaking slightly from the extent of her desire. Kedyn stilled and she lifted her head from his, wondering if she had done something wrong. His hands lifted to frame her face, his eyes intent as they searched hers. "Are you sure?" He rasped. Miria smiled, her heart thudding in her chest. She didn't entirely know what he meant, but she was rapidly learning, the voice of protest well and truly squashed.

"I've never been more certain of anything." She whispered back, her hand still idly stroking his side. "I love you, Kedyn." The love shining in her eyes battled with the passion she felt, the same mix mirrored in Kedyn's eyes as she surrendered to the emotions flooding her body and sank into Kedyn's welcome embrace.

Kedyn's fingers tingled as they slowly traced over Miria's bare skin as he pushed the cotton of her shirt farther up her back. He shivered lightly as he felt Miria's fingers slip under his own, her fingers tracing along his side and passing lightly over his scar. He stopped for a moment, suddenly unsure of himself. "Are you sure?" Kedyn's voice rasped, hoping that she was alright with what he was doing knowing how much he yearned for her.

"I've never been more certain of anything." Kedyn smiled both at the words and the feeling of her fingers stroking his side. His heart swelled with lover for Miria and suddenly nothing else mattered. I love you, Kedyn."

Kedyn smiled once, bringing his head up to kiss Miria lightly. He pulled back quickly though. "I love you to, Miria." Kedyn pulled Miria's shirt the rest of the way over her head and pulled her towards him.

Kedyn's eyes flickered open as a small beam of sun hit them from a small opening in the curtains of his widow. He restrained from moving to much as not to wak Miria. Her eyes weres till closed and her breathing was slow and regular. Her back was pressed against his chest, both still bare, and her hair was tickling his chin lightly whenever he moved. Lightly he kissed the top of her head and stroked a hand against her stomach lightly, pausing to finger at the stitches in her side and make sure nothing looked wrong with the wound. Kedyn's leg flamed and itched terribly, but at the moment he didn't care.

All he cared for was the woman in his arms. Slowly he pulled the sheets back over Miria from where they had been moved during the night. His body was still exhausted, worn from both the fighting of the day before and what Miria and he had shared last night. Sleep beckoned for him and he began to surrender, with one more light kiss to the top of Miria's head.

Part of him wasn't sure what had led to he and Miria doing what they did, though perhaps some part of him knew. So much death had been reaped that the only thing left was to celebrate life. Death with life, sorrow with love. Kedyn smiled to himself and let himself slip back into sleep with a small pleased sigh. Everything had changed, and for once, for the better.

"I love you to, Miria."Miria smiled, full of elation. Who would have thought that three simple words could mean so much, could fill her with such bliss? Her heart pounded in her chest, a thrilling mix of the love she felt and the anticipation of what was happening...but it all came back to Kedyn. She smiled at him, completely trusting herself to him as her shirt was tossed aside, and she went willingly into the fire of his embrace.

--------------

Miria stretched, caught in the moment between pleasant dreams and waking. A small smile was on her face, and she felt totally relaxed, if a little sore. A twinge in her side reminded her of her stitches as she stretched languidly again, and her muscles ached from the battle the day before. Yet despite all that, she had never felt so totally content.

Something warm and rough, yet gentle, caressed the bare skin at her side and her eyes flickered open, yawning lazily and blinking at the sunlight filtering through the window. Bare skin? The sleep cleared from her mind enough for her to remember the nights events, bringing a broad smile to her lips, along with a deep blush to her cheeks. Light, but yesterday had been a day full of firsts, though not all of them as unenjoyable as the battle.

The heat from Kedyn's body ebbed through from where he lay behind her, pressed against her back, his arm slung over her waist. And naked as the day he was born. She grinned. She didn't think she would be able to stop grinning for quite some time. At least now she understood a lot more of the teasing comments she had heard. But the most amazing discovery was that the love she had for Kedyn was returned. The entire future seemed brighter, with that knowledge.

Turning onto her other side, she smiled at the sight of Kedyn sleeping, her fingers unable to resist stroking his cheek, his neck, his shoulder. She sighed softly, contentedly. Heat blossomed once more as her mind returned to just what she had discovered in Kedyn's arms last night, though she couldn't help the grin that surfaced with it again. Wiggling herself a little closer to him, she leaned forward, pressing her lips softly against his.

Where she meant to just lightly caress, her eyes opened wide as the arm at her waist tightened, drawing her closer as Kedyn returned her kiss, his eyes open and locked on her startled ones. Lifting her head a few moments later, Miria smiled at him somewhat sheepishly. "I didn't mean to wake you...but good morning my love." She said, eyes twinkling with love and happiness. Today was a new day, and it seemed the beginning of a wonderful new life.

Kedyn was caught in the half consciousness that came before you woke. Where your mind still wandered with it's dreams but a small part of you could tell what was happening around you. He was dancing in his dream, though the person he was dancing with changed. The face flickered from Miria to Lavena, even to Jenna for a few breif seconds as the image shifted to his the memory of his sister on the day he left. His concious self couldn't place it as dream nightmare, or simply a blending of those he loved and had loved.

Kedyn was still to far asleep to fully register the fingers caressing across his face and chest. The woman in his mind flickered back to Miria and a smile bloomed on his face. He was rapidly propelled from his dreamy state to consciousness as he felt the light caress of someone's lips on his. As his mind began to wake he smiled as memory came flooding in. His arm draped around Miria tightened as he returned the soft kiss Miria had started. Kedyn's eyes opened to a startled looking Miria, though it passed as she broke off from him.

"I didn't mean to wake you...but good morning my love." Kedyn smiled and lightly ran his nails across Miria's back as she seemed to love so much. She smiled and burried her face ino his bare chest. Kedyn felt the heat coming from Miria to him, along with the feeling of his blood warming from the close contact, nor did it help much that what clothes they had had on were strewn about his room. "I was about to get up anyways."

As if to annouce the need their came a small rap on Kedyn's foor along with a feminine voice calling out. "Sergeant?" Kedyn groaned lightly, though was rather thankful that it had been a woman for fear that a man might have just barged in and Kedyn wasn't truly sure if anyone had locked his door last night. Both he and Miria had been preoccupied, what they had been preoccupied with made a small red spot bloom on Kedyn's cheek.

Reluctantly Kedyn took his hand from around Miria and rolled from the bed. "Just a second." Kedyn called as he began to search for something to make himself appear modest, the closest one at hand were the sheets but Miria still had them around her shoulders. He had to search for them as last night he wasn't worried about where his clothes were going. The first moments of last night were a blur of movement though he could remember what came after with great detail even if it made him blush and grin at the same time. He pulled on his undergarmets and then the pants he had had on yesterday as the second nearest thing and then moved ot open the door a crack, blocking most of the view inside of his room though at that angle only the foot of the bed was visible. "Yes Lia?"

The entirety of the Foxes were a rather inquisitive bunch and had teh smarts to go with so it didn't surpised Kedyn when Lia tried to peek around him and into the room, Kedyn moving to block her view. The Fox's boasted the most women in their platoon, having fifteen which was probobly the most in any except the medics and each one was the worst gossiper, tease and needed to know everything. Lia smiled knowing and tapped the side of her head with a wicked smile.

"Banner Captain Ram is bringing together all the Captains and Sergeants to him for a damage report. Malastair is still with the medics so they sent me." With a knowing grin she turned and bounced back to the woman's quarters of the barracks. Great. Kedyn shook his head softly.

He turned and made his way back to the bed leaning over to gently kiss Miria. "I told you today would be busy." Kedyn began to search for a clean shirt and ran a hand through his hair for a comb. Miria didn't move much as he hurried to ready himself, it wouldn't be as busy for her. "For me at least." Kedyn finished dressing and gave Miria a quick kiss before retreating towards the door. "I'll see you as soon as I'm done. I promise. Duty calls." With one last smile Kedyn ducked out the door and began a quick trot towards Ram's quarters.

Miria barely resisted the urge to purr as Kedyn dragged his nails down her spine, burying her head against his chest, snuggling against his warmth. "I was about to get up anyways." Miria lifted her head, set to protest, when a tap sounded at the door, and a woman called for Kedyn. She stiffened, fully expecting to have the door thrown open, but glad it remained closed.

Safely hidden under the sheets, Miria watched with avid interest as Kedyn got out of the bed, admiring the view with a smirk and no small amount of blushing as he hunted for his clothes. She stifled a giggle, surprised at how far they'd managed to spread them across the room. She'd barely noticed where the clothes had gone at the time, more intent on what was underneath them...light, she would be blushing all day if she continued to have these flashbacks!

Grateful that Kedyn was blocking the door, Miria cast her eyes about, looking for her own clothing. It was ironic, all this time they had kept up the ruse that they were conducting an affair, and now, well she guessed they were. Still wouldn't make it any less embarrassing, being caught in Kedyn's bed, even though everyone had assumed that was what was happenning....argh, confusing.

Miria gave Kedyn a questioning look as he closed the door, as she had been unable to hear the exchange. She smiled as he kissed her sweetly, sighing when he pulled away to finish getting dressed. "I told you today would be busy." Quite content where she was, Miria continued to watch curiously as Kedyn busied himself dressing, enjoying watching the simple tasks.

"I'll see you as soon as I'm done. I promise. Duty calls." Miria nodded, understanding though still not happy with the idea of actually getting out of the bed, though there was little point now, being there alone. If only the night hadn't had to end, she thought wistfully. One last kiss and Kedyn was gone, Miria flopping back onto the bed and staring at the ceiling, broad grin on her face. What a night it had been for discoveries.

Allowing herself to wallow a little longer in the memories of a night she knew she'd never forget, Miria finally forced herself out of bed, doing a similar rummage as Kedyn had to find her clothes, gigling to herself as she pulled her pants from the chest on the other side of the room. She dressed quickly, frowning at her rumpled appearance. She looked like she'd slept in her clothes...well she hadn't technically....argh, no more blushing!

Doing the best she could with her hair without a comb, she snuck out Kedyn's room, grin on her face as she made her way around to her own room. Fresh clothes and a bath were definitely in order. She would let Kedyn mess her up again later...
