A thought about the Last Battle...

I just had an idea which might be completly crazy... and might have been discussed before but I have not found any references...

 

so here goes...

 

Moridin seem to keep helping Rand...

 

The Dark One does not want Rand dead...

 

Rand needs to die to live again...

 

Could it be that the only way the Dark One can break free is by having the seals broken but more importantly to take over the Dragon's body???

 

That could explain a few things...

And how does that fit with Moridin giving green light to kill Rand in WH?

Besides ... its doubtful that the Dark One could actually be contained within a human body.

Personally i doubt that the Dark One wants Rands body, I only think the Dark One would want Rand on his side just to prove that even the strongest serve him in the end.

I do not think the DO could dwell in a human body. He just wants to turn the dragon reborn or kill him

In KOD, Moridin expressly forbade any of the other Forsaken from going after Rand. It seems he has flip-flopped several times throughout the series on Rand's fate. I believe that currently (as of the ending of KOD) Moridin understands that he is linked to Rand, and that any action against Rand's well-being will most likely have serious repurcussions on his own health.
