DRAGONMOUNT

A WHEEL OF TIME COMMUNITY

How I think it will end. (hopefully the biggest spoiler of them all)

One idea to consider is that Rand is a product of the Creator to create a balance on the world.  Rand is constantly repeated in different forms (LTT for instance), so what if the creator created Rand as 2 people.  One person being Rand, LTT and all his beings before him, the other being the DO.

So imagine the final battle is the Rand having this eternal power struggle in his mind, benig played out before the rest of the world in the sky and in wars on land, just like the battle at Falme.  Rand will die fighting these different personalities in his head, but it'll be his mind that dies, not his physical body.  The creator however, being all powerful will restore his mind and he will be "KING OF THE WORLD"... sorry, didn't mean to get the Titanic reference there.

I can see this being a possible idea.  To live, he must first die and this is one of the few ways I can see RJ having intended.  As M. Night Shamylan says on Robot Chicken, "What a twist!!"

Ok...I skipped past a multitude of replies, quotes, theories, etc, so forgive me if I missed something.

Definetly not the first hypothesis-thread I've seen, and probably not the last. What you must realise, Random, is that your theory is inherently flawed due to lack of substantiating evidence. Loose plotlines haven't been dealt with, your scenarios are cliched, prophecies lay forgotten. If you feel up to it, go write a fanfic about it, but people here don't tend to favour highly improbable theorems. That said, though, it was extremely distasteful for those who chose to instantly clamp down on his creative freedom.

Now, this thread seems to have diverted to a balance between the Creator and DO. Somehow even religion got tied into this.

One thing: Is the Creator a good guy? Perhaps I missed it, but never in the books is the Creator clearly against evil. Not in all religions is the creator of the universe a person who supports humanity, or even cares about them. You may want to read about Pantheism, Deism, Nontheism and the like. RJ may or may not not have based WoT on our world's religious structures, but these are alternatives to the Good vs Evil = Creator vs Destroyer.

I think that all these ideas are good.  But if the Creator was there already to make EVERYTHING, then why could the DO not have aleady existed too?  Since there always seems to be a balance of good vs. evil, then how can there be just one good Creator?  And again, if the Creator made the DO, why would he make DO completely contrary to himself?  ???

Not trying to put anyone else's ideas down, because they are ALL possible for the last book.  I just don't know how many twists RJ can add to the last book.  :-\

...he will, using the DO´s own power (wich he can access because the DO wanted him to use them to destroy the world) to transport shayol ghul to a vakuol (bubbel of reality, separated from the creation) where he balefire the opening back 4000 years by combinding the true source (light) with DO´s power (darkness).

This is a pretty good idea, but I retain a great deal of skepticism for the rest.

From that old philospher, who's name escapes me (H something?), who said that when the wheel turns the seal over the Dark One has to be whole again, not just plugged after being bored into. How could one do that, lacking the power of the Creator himself, but unleashing an immensely powerful blast of Balefire into the Bore so as to turn back time so that it is whole again.

This is only moy own (very personal) theory so please dont assume i'm putting it forwards as anything else!

The prophecy says the blood of the Dragon on the rocks of Shayol Ghul. The Dragon is not Rand, it is LTT, Rand is the Dragon Reborn.

Now, Rand's head is getting pretty full up with LTT and himself in there. How about if it is LTT whosomehow moves into Moridin, taking him over, subsequently dying. Moridin's blood(as the Dragon). Leaving Rand (the dragon Reborn) to fight TG...

As i said, a personal opinion. It all falls down when someone points out that reborn or original the dragon is the dragon...
