Rand and Baalzamon's battle mirroring Whitecloaks against Seanchan

in TGH at the end, Rand finds himself fighting against Baalzamon above Falme, where a legion of Whitecloaks engage in battle against the Seanchan occupation. His Sheathing the Sword occurs after he realizes that his battle with Baalzamon mirrors the battle below in him Falme, and saving Egwene from a lifetime of slavery to the Seanchan depends on him being willing to sacrifice himself.

 

When I was much younger, I read a story about King Arthur and someone else, where King Arthur and the other person are playing a game of chess (or near-enough) while their forces are fighting, and the game of chess reflects the battle outside.

its a nice find, i would wonder where the english is and be lost in search. everytime you learn.. right now i find a projection betwen more modern english culture(if tolkiend gifts his work as myths to england than surely i can considern gaems workshop) and wot specifically how change stems from reasoning and it logic and by imprisoning it among an ajah you would be recognizant of that power of change coming from the simplest data if left unchecked is a thing that turns into something called tzeentch. I dont think this is far stretching, if i knew every other seting too im sure such relations btween eaarth religons and myth and wot would show up
