HOUSE CHAMPIONSHIP: Day Four (Ravenclaw)

This is a fun one requiring TEAMWORK!  ;)

 

Each House will be given the task of writing a Sorting Hat Song with a twist. Working together as a house you are asked to write 5 verses of a Sorting Hat Song(All verses are four lines long). 1 verse should be all about Dragonmount School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, 1 verse should be about Harry Potter and the other 3 should be about your House qualities. The Houses will be rated and given points accordingly 1st: 100 Points 2nd: 75 Points 3rd: 50 Points 4th: 25 Points.

 

At least three people should have an input for writing it. Please use this thread for discussion about it! :D All entries should be emailed to harrypotterweek@hotmail.co.uk by 2pm GMT tomorrow from the Head of House or another chosen representative!

Well, we've got three of us here, and three people are required to give input.

 

Um...I'm horrible at this sort of thing. I'm drawing blanks still. Maybe if we brainstorm about what sorts of things we can say about DM, HP, and Ravenclaw?

 

DM is where we all hang out, get our fill of WoT, make friends...it's a good procrastination tool :P

 

Ravenclaw traits are wit, intelligence, and a love of learning.

 

And HP...um...full of mystery, magic, a sense of wonder, spies, monsters, entertains people of all ages...

Here's what I have so far. I'm still working on the Ravenclaw verses:

 

Dragonmount, Dragonmount, our prestigious institution,

A place of friendship and fun; the object of our infatuation.

**2 more lines needed...I suck at this**

 

While Rand fights the Dark One, Harry battles Voldemort,

And often the outcomes are a bit too close for comfort.

With Deathly Hallows on the way, things are getting hotter,

But never forget, we're rooting for you, Harry Potter!

Here's a Ravenclaw verse:

 

We in Ravenclaw, who value wit, learning, and intelligence,

Appreciate the worth of knowledge, its use and its elegance.

And while some may claim we've forgotten the worth of fun,

I'd counter and say, the party has only just begun.

This might work as a last verse, though it comes across as a bit Slytherin-y:

 

With our knowledge of the past and our ideas for the future,

Our influence and prosperity are really quite secure.

Any of these things, we'd love to discuss,

So make your decision: will you fight us or join us?
