I just submitted a Bio a moment ago, and as I have a bit of the "while the iron is hot" feeling, is there any preliminary writing I can or should do for my character's Novice work, even if I obviously would want to wait on posting it until the Bio is approved.

Yes! If you're keen you could get started with the Intro RP for your char, either:

 

- Meeting the Mistress of Novices (you need to make it clear whether or not your char has already been tested); or

 

- Her journey to the Tower - You can RP it solo or (if you wait for approval and can find once) with an Aes Sedai char. 

 

The reqs and things should all be outlined for you with bio approval ?

Well or others if she is going to TV to get tested, then really she could run into anyone on her trip to tar valon.
