Warders

Information on advancement requirements can be found HERE.

You will be assigned one thread per character (if you have more than one character). This will be created by a Staff member. When you are ready to start reporting your progress, you will reply to that thread with the following information.

Use this format (copy and paste it into your thread).

Weapons Score X to X

Title of the Thread
Short blurb about the thread and progress info

So - this will look like:

Quote

Weapons Score 6 to 7
Assisting with someone else's requirements. Kalan assists Visar with his Blademaster Ceremony. The two characters duel. Thread in progress.

If your WS requires more than 1 thread, then use this format:
Weapons Score X to X

Thread 1
Title of the Thread
Short blurb about the thread and progress info

Thread 2
Title of the Thread
Short blurb about the thread and progress info

New Novices and Accepted

Please refer in the first instance to the Novice Requirements and Accepted Requirements threads. The layout expected for progress reporting is included on those threads.

You should also read the comments on "In Retro" RP's further down this thread.

Returning Characters

These are old RP members coming back after a lengthy break. Please read the Returning Character Requirements thread on this board.

Requirement Rules & Guidelines for Second & Third Characters

If you have completed all the raising requirements with ANY prior character in this Group, you may start off your second or third character as a full Aes Sedai.

However, upon submitting a Full Sister as a PC, (Player Character), you must complete the following minimum requirements (N.B. - you may do any other requirements you wish, above and beyond the minimum ones):

A: If you have role played with (one of) your full Aes Sedai character(s) within the past 12 months, you must complete:

* The Accepted Interview (sent upon approval of your Bio);

* The Character Development RP.

(A reflective RP that you use to show a broad overview of the character's life up to the present moment. This may be a solo RP.)

B: If you have NOT role played with (one of) your full Aes Sedai character(s) within the past 12 months, you must complete:

* The Novice Quiz (sent upon approval of your Bio);

* The Accepted Interview (sent upon approval of your Bio);

* The Character Development RP.

(A reflective RP that you use to show a broad overview of the character's life up to the present moment. This may be a solo RP.)

You may also start your 2nd or 3rd character as an Accepted, in which case you must complete:

* The Arches;

* All Accepted requirements.

Should you wish to start your 2nd or 3rd character as a Novice, you must complete all Requirements (except the Novice Quiz if you have been RP'ing another character during the past 12 months).

As you complete your requirements, please post them on The Training Grounds OOC board in your personal thread, adapting the coding given on the Novice or Accepted requirements pinned threads (just highlight and copy that bit that's headed "code").

ONCE A SPECIFIC REQUIREMENT IS COMPLETED AND EDITED INTO YOUR FIRST POST, PLEASE MAKE A NEW POST TO STATE WHICH ONE(S). Please restrict your posts to the above. All others should refrain from posting in progress report threads. If you have any queries or comments, please PM Kathleen.

Role Playing In Retro and What That Means For You!

RP'ing "In Retro" means that you're going to be role playing away from the main timeline - more specifically, before it happens.

Retro means that Novices and Accepted can develop their character to the point they need them to be prior to being Raised to the Shawl, and without taking up time and messing around with the main timeline.

We understand that everyone has different personal timelines, and that really, RP'ing like this can get messy if you delve too deeply, but that's the point of retro. You don't have to dig around and point out differences. It's there for convenience.

So, to quote an Elgee comment: Think of retro like Vegas. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

THERE IS ONE EXCEPTION.

Salidar Novices, being older than Traditional Novices and as a result being exceptions to the rules in some ways, do not RP in retro. Their ages are fixed upon their making but they can still interact with Traditional Novices. Again with the convenience thing.

ANOTHER THING. :laugh:

All retro RP's for Novices and Accepted will be posted on the Retro & Miscellaneous IC board.
