If you have made a trade or picked up a free agent, that player goes to your bench. NOT TO YOUR STARTING ROSTER. You must manually put that player in a starting position. I'm thinking specifically of Ryan Howard, who sat on the bench yesterday not earning any points for his team, but there may be others. :)
