Sorry if something came off poor, but ive not went out of my way to be remotely mean pre-this when it read as a lecture.

Im not fond of being told how to play, im pretty mafia knowledgeable.

i'm aware that you're experienced and that you've played a lot

so have i, and i still have a lot to learn about playing the game

i'm sorry if it came across as a lecture

my point was that you are scummy, in this game, based on both standards i have observed and standards that you have set up, and what you have been calling and pushing for has not had a realistic or towny trajectory to it; furthermore, that in my opinion your play at the moment, if you were town, was not benefiting the the rest of the town

the way i see it, it is to the benefit of all town members to be reasonably open, both with reads, to the possibility that they may be wrong, to reevaluate, and to provide reasoning for doing what they are doing

if they are power roles, not being totally open is in town's benefit, but even then a certain amount of the above always helps

how do you find wolves? is it through logical inconsistencies? you can't see them if nobody talks about their thought processes

is it through lynching wolves at random? through particular tells and reads?

the way i see it, a certain level of openness is the best way to win the game

you're able to show the other people in the game that you're town and not scum, most of what you're thinking is in the open

but meh

again i wasn't trying to give you a lecture about how to play at the time, i was explaining why i found you scummy and that i thought you were not playing in a way that would benefit town as much as possible

again i apologize if it came across as an "i know better than you" type deal

i was not trying to say that the way you play or think about the game is invalid; nevertheless i still don't believe that handling it in a condescending way is optimal

Moving on, thoughts on iron if you assume im town?

again, has several towny points and a few questionable posts

gun to head town

*or in a way that doesn't let town know what you're thinking in any way, shape, or form other than a vote and repeated stubborn townclaims

Yeah you've fair points above. Id be lying if I said I disagreed anywhere in particular, bit I do this thing where I decide to play a game radically differently every once and a while just to see how it changes things. Mostly based on my mood, what approach I take.

I would generally call this sub optimal, but its common so I wanna know what merit it has. Hence, I haven't and don't disagree with your perspective of me.

As you said dude, there's not a one if us who doesn't have a lot to learn about this game.

Now, this meta post aside, back to it.

fair enough

lol i'm actually trying to fix those parts of my game in particular, get better at communicating and being open

because that was the biggest issue with my play according to several people i asked and my experience :P

He isn't though. Probably.

i don't suppose i could bribe you to say why with a picture of an adorable baby animal?

I'll bite, but begrudgingly.

Did you see him respond when I said I couldn't get my usual town read on him?

IDK if you're just town darthe misunderstanding me or scum darthe taking advantage of our past interactions, or what.

this is all i can find from that, and it's not very solid

is a bit scummy by itself though i agree

part of why i was trying to figure out how much he's played

beh

i've seen that type of player before in several different ways, but i'm not sure how to read him here

So here's what happened and you need some history to understand this one. I have not been wrong on iron eyes in a very long time. Like, maybe 2015-ish. Ever had a player that you knew their alignment based on their punctuation or verbage? It's that level of read.

This game, im just blah on him. I mention it, amd he has brought up my goat reads of him this past game and this one, and his response is to say that im overreacting and that him calling my read of him Goat level was a joke. He backs off of it, pulls a bit of sus from a couple of others, then cleans up his posts by getting less active and more wordy.

So its not much, and I could still move back on him, but it's something in a land where no one has done jack.

Btw I h8 u right now for making me drop my blase approach. It sucked, but it was different :/.

another question: if he was mod-revealed to be scum, where would you look

because i'd think that'd be similar to where you just said you'd consider looking if he was town, apart from lenlo

Btw sooh got a temp wolfread for tilting me with her aggro. It seemed out of the norm, but her eod cleanup brought her back. She was initially a town read on wim

i thought he said he's only played a few games since a 4-year hiatus? i have known some players like that, but i've also known players where i thought that was the case for a while and then it turned out i didn't

yeah fair enough i think i see what you're saying

hm

did dice flipping make any difference in your reads at all? i still need to go back and look at some of yesterday in the light of him being town
