Jayson and Carrie return for the show's 28th episode.
The "chipmunk" problem is still happening when you listen to the file via the browser. We're looking into it. You can get it via iTunes.
A few months back I made some changes in an attempt to eliminate spammers and for a while it seemed to work.
They're now back with a vengeance.
For this reason, we've enacted a new technical policy. Posting links on the forum has been disabled for anyone with less than 15 posts. This is something that should happen automatically and won't require any changes on behalf of the users. Once you've posted 15 times or more, you will gain the ability to post links.
Like all technical change
(Update: Episode 27 is now available)
Okay, I seldom if ever post in the Podcasting section, but as Jason is not around today, and the Podcast crew is concerned about it, I should offer some excuses to why the listeners haven't yet gotten the new episodes. ;D
As many of you may know, Dragonmount recently had a hardware failure that prompted us to replace the server with a more powerful one. This process, however, means that not all of the bases are covered. One of these bases is the abi
Because we have this new server that seems to be running so well, I thought it would be nice to give you guys an increase in our Community Gallery. The previous quota was 1 MB per user. That has now been increased to 10 MB per user. Plenty of room to upload a nice-sized collection of images "celebrating our community and The Wheel of Time".
Enjoy
Dragonmount.com has successfully been moved to a brand new server. No data was lost in this transition and (multiple) back-ups were made.
...
For those of you who are interested...
This is the first server upgrade we have had since 2002. The old server ("saidin") ran nearly non-stop, 24-7 for about 5 years. It hosted this site as well as several other smaller sites. (While I'm at it, check out www.Spectre-Movie.com)
When one of the hard drives on saidin crashed last week, I moved
The Dragonmount.com website will be migrating to a new server later this week. As a result, I'll be pulling the site offline in order to safely migrate all the data over. I do not forsee the loss of any data, and will take every precaution to ensure that nothing gets lost in translation.
Thanks for bearng with us as we migrate over.
Carrie and Andrew talk about one of the Wheel of Times polar figures.
(Technical note... if the file sounds funny when you listen to it using the browser-based player below, download it directly from this link, or try it in iTunes.)
The Dragonmount.com had a hard drive failure today. Thankfully, due to (semi) frequent backups, we're back online and all is (mostly) well. The most noticable change is that all data on the site is outdated by a while. All forum or news postings since Feb 23rd have been lost. Only one of Robert Jordan's blog entires was lost, but we will restore that ASAP.
Here's what we're going to do in the meantime:
- Restore RJ's lost blog entry (Sorry, comments since 2/25 are gone though)
- Repa
[Webmaster's note: Due to a recent hard drive failure, all replies to this posting were lost. We sincerely apologize for the trouble. You are encouraged to re-post any message you had in reply to this blog post. Thanks]
The good news is that there has been no change since we last communicated guys. Harriet and RJ had to fight like hell to keep it there, but that goes with the territory these days.
He told you that he'd be visiting the Mayo on every 90 days and that last month's visit
Update:
Updates to the Dragonmount.com server have been completed. We'll probably need to do more in the near future.Questions, concerns, complaints, and (of course) compliments are all welcome: webmaster@dragonmount.com
Hi, guys. Sorry this isn't the usual health update, but I'll get to that in another post shortly. A few days, but no more, I promise. This is about something else completely. In fact, it was inspired by a comment someone posted on the blog. I liked the idea and took it to my agent and my publisher. They like it, too.
We are going to run a contest to find the 15 best pieces of fan artwork out there. I know there is some really professional quality work because I have seen

He reads your posts. I read them. All of them. You are all great for your caring and support. Thanks from the recesses of my soul. All of you WOT'ers are like extended family. But as family, I've got to ask that you allow RJ the time to heal. He's been extremely forthcoming with his status, and will continue to be regardless the news. But unless you've seen someone in a similar fight, you really have no idea how much of a struggle he's in. Thank God he's a stubborn ole cuss.
We as the Illuminators Guild would like to open up submissions for our bi-annual Dragonmount Anthology. This anthology will focus on Poetry. Multiple submissions are welcome. All works must be original pieces, they may be odes to your favorite author but please do not write with in their worlds, about them yes, in them no. For example you can write a poem about how the Wheel of Time books make you feel, but you cannot write a poem depicting Rand's escape from the box at Dumai’s Wells. You will
The Great Lord has finally disposed of Jayson and Ben and the true friends of the dark bring you a most devious episode... one devoted to the world domination of our podcast. We could not bring about this world domination without you, the fans. Carrie and Andrew cover a bunch of fan feed back in this installment.
*Next week The Great Lord will have resurrected both Jayson and Ben... maybe one of them will come back as...
Hi everyone,
Jason here. I received an email over the weekend from Wilson. He actually posted a little news in reply to another blog post. He asked that I bump it up to an actual posting. Here's what he said, in reference to RJ and Harriet:
They're at the Mayo for the 1st 90 day check as I type this. The number is now 2.7. You'll have to get the rest from the big guy.

This is a very short post, I'm afraid. I know it's been awhile since I posted last, but various things kept getting in the way. Still, here goes, with the best Christmas present I've ever received. Something I had to share without any delay.
As you all no doubt know by now, the marker for amyloids is something called Lambda Light Chains, which are found in the blood. The normal range is between 1 and 3. Five months ago, I was at 75. Four months ago, that had gone up to 96. The higher
The Dragonmount Writer's Guild now has merged with the Illuminator's Organization here at Dragonmount and we have taken on the Dragonmount Anthology. We are in the final stages of the anthology. We will not be able to make a January 1st release date as hoped, but we have not forgotten the project, it's just taking a little longer than we'd planned on.
I will keep you up todate on this as it developes.
I, once again, am going to attempt to address the rising amount of spam on the DM forums.
Tonight I will be locking the forums to prevent changes while I am working. The process is going to be fairly involved, and will require about an hour to complete. When the forums come back online, there will be a few small things that people will see different, but there will be a whole slew of tool that the Administrators will have to deal with spam. Some of the "behind the scenes" changes will also m
Finally!!! The Asmodean episodes are here! In the first of (at least) two Asmodean episodes Andrew, Jayson and Carrie discuss Asmo as a character and try to save the juicy details of his death for a more in depth discussion in the next installment.
