  1. Oh absolutely. I’m a huge supporter. Adding this did nothing to drive plot though, is all I’m saying. If it had a real impact on the story then by all means.
  2. Hmmmm, that’s a tough one. Aside from what I said about the imagery I’m not sure how much that isn’t production or direction. This show had a bigger budget than GoT, right? So, why couldn’t we get a grand shot of The Stone? The Blight looked cartoonish. The scene of Rand and Tam in the very first episode on the cart path looked so terrible. The grass and stone visibly looked like a back alley theatre set. I will also never forgive the poor directing that allowed Rand to disrespect his bow like that and just toss it like it’s trash. I will die on that hill. I also thought it really lazy writing to ice Perrin’s wife. The Seanchan leash and collars I think would have translated as the horrendous things as they were much more than pacifiers. I like how main characters are being offed. I always thought the bloat could have been avoided in the books if Jordan would have been willing to off more characters. So not a whole lot I’d change. Perrin didn’t need a wife. Moiraine and Shaun’s relationship didn’t need to be fleshed out. The story is about the Aemond’s Fielders. Neither of those pushes plot in any way. Make changes that push the established plot. A lot of the changes don’t do anything even remotely close. Not even going to mention the ridiculousness of women Dragons. The whole risk of Male dragons is the madness of that side of the source. Makes no sense to even have the taint at all if there can be women dragons. It’s just forced.
  3. Hahahahaha. Not a book purist at all. I understand the necessity of change for the screen. Absolutely. The changes I dislike are the symbols that had no real reason. The serpent ring, the trefoil leaf and Waygates. None of those changes push a narrative but are exactly the things I wanted to see. Costume design has been terrible. I love what they did with the other things I wanted so I continue to watch but over all, it’s just not that good to me.
  4. Hello Dragonmount. Feels good to walk your streets once again though so much is different. You really can’t go home again. I’m Millon. I was active here well over ten years ago. I did pop back in from time to time to see how things were but I never really stuck it out. Too busy “looking for home” instead of trying to see what’s here now. “Hey! What went into the old Blockbuster Rental over on fifth? Oh. A Spirit of Halloween. Makes sense….” I was mostly in the White Tower Social Group though I was in The Band, Black Tower and Kin. Not a whole lot though aside from the Tower. I’ve only ever read the entire series at length once believe it or not. I read the first nine more times than I care to think about though. Just life got in the way. Not because I’m particularly fond of the first nine. I forced myself to find time to finish it when it ended. That’s all. I find it hard to read anything anymore really! lol. I am filled with gross disappointment for most of the show. I think they absolutely NAILED channeling and shadowspawn and most of the casting is pretty fantastic. I guess I’m writin a new intro because I’d really like to see what’s great about this place today and not filtering it through memories. Kinda like watching the show! Hahahahaha. I’m a single dad of a ten year old special needs kiddo. Of course, a fantasy nerd. I paint Warhammer figurines and I enjoy working on my D&D campaign setting though I don’t actually play (yet) lol. Critical Role really re-ignited that interest about ten or so years ago. Dont seem to have much of an attention span for new TV shows or movies or things on TV. Unless you want to get down with Bluey discussions! I’m down for that! Greatest bloody cartoon ever. Not a big sportsball guy but GO BILLS!! I’m glad to be back though. Really hoping I can stick around again. I’ve built some of the greatest relationships of my life in this place. Friends I’ve never even ‘met’ but I consider closer than most of my family and friends. I’m glad to still see some of them here. Looking forward to meeting new friends as well. uhhhhh, yeah. That’s it. Good to meet you all.
  5. What’s shakin @AlsBeck Luhhan?! Pleasure to meet ya! I’m an oldy old old of the place here and just tryin to get back into it all. Love the books, barely tolerate the show. lol. Still goin to watch 3 though because j hate myself lol. I love the shadowspawn, channeling and so far the cast is pretty great. I’ll refrain from the negatives 😉 lol.
