  1. Dainin sat in his room for long moments after the Dreadlord had left. He was thinking about what he had learned and was angry at not being taught anything to clean his room yet. Knowing that his anger could have dire consequences he didn't touch Saidin until he calmed himself down.

Staying in the void of his mind with the flame, he fed his anger into it while he felt himself calm down. Then he grabbed and let go of Saidin a few more times before realizing he was tired. He set his cloak and few belongings given to him on the journey here down in a corner of the room and laid down to sleep.

Over the next couple of days he only practiced in the morning when he was fresh and well rested. He spent his remaining time asking questions of the other Acolytes. He also went to the courtyard to sit in on the lessons being given by the Dreadlords, but he didn't participate. All he did was ask questions and occassionally grabbed onto Saidin to watch how the advanced students did certain things with Saidin. He was learning alot and the most important thing he learned was that the things they did was called weaving and it took alot of concentration.

On the third day he decided to nap after lunch and start the training his Dreadlord had givin him twice a day. Going several hours in the morning and in the afternoon made him soon feel very confident in his ability to grab and let go of Saidin. Although he could now recognize a couple weaves from the lessons in the courtyard he was not yet brave enough to anger his Lord by attempting them without his supervision. Contenting himself, albiet grudgingly, to only grabbing and letting go he spent the next few days until his Lord came again simply learning knowledge and his practicing.

    NEXT LESSON

Sitting down with his teacher he listened patiently to his words of knowledge. He had learned some of it but he had sat in on advanced students so he learned things that helped put the rest in perspective. Realizing now that the weaves were colored naturally and that the colors were specific elements made him see he was right in not disobeying yet. There was still too much he didn't know.

Grabbing Saidin he followed his Lord's weaves and when it was his turn he focused not only on the colors his Lord was using but the element as well. After weaving a few twisting threads in the spiral pattern he saw that a couple were brighter then others. As he was about to ask why his Lord explained it for him.

Realizing that he was stronger in Fire, Earth and Spirit while being weaker in Air and Water brought about another question. " My Lord, is there a way for me to get stronger in Air and Water? If not then how do I compensate with Fire and Earth so that I can't lose against Air and Water?" He listened to his Lord's response and thought about it as he went back to his room.

    FIRST WEAVE

In his room he thought about the lesson and all the knowledge he had gained. Realizing he had been here a week and was ready to risk all by using a simple weave he had learned but first he needed to get better control of the threads. So over the next four days he pratcied almost all day, everyday until he felt he could control them without any hesitation or worry. He also spent alot of time learning as much knowledge as he could about weaves and how they were formed and worked.

Two days before his next lesson with his Lord he stood in his doorway, his back to the closed door and focused purely on the flame within his void. Calling forth Air and Water in equal, yet small, amounts he twisted the threads. Breaking them into multiplthreads and still maintain a firm control of them, he started close by himself and touched them together in the proper weaving to create light winds. Using those winds he swept the dirt and dust back across the room into a corner. When his room looked spotless except for that one corner he let go of the weaves.

Making sure he didn't feel weak or exhausted he prepared to weave another simple weave. He was a little tired but still fairly fresh so he wove a thread of Fire. Moving it to touch the pile he made sure it was small, no sense in starting a big fire unintentionally. Focusing softly he ignited the pile and immediately jumped back! His sleeve was on fire and even in the void he could feel the intense pain of the burning flesh on his arm. He tore off his shirt and threw it into the pile that was complete ash now. Checking his arm he realized he was going to be scarred and maybe lose the use of his right arm for sword fighting. I had no ideal that I was that strong in Fire! I can really do some damage as long as I can control it! Realizing that in order to learn that control would require his Lord's teachings, he saw that his Lord had been right and might be very angry with him for doing this without waiting for his Lord to give permission.

Rather then waiting for his Lord to find out on his own, Dainin decided to seek him out. He knew he would have to accept punishment and beg his Lord's mercy but it was better then losing his Lord's patronage altogether. So he went off and after asking directions found his Lord.

    Dainin Raskowa, Dreadlord Acolyte

OOC: Sorry so long just wanted to cover all of the lessons!

  2. Gaidan was fascinated by the size of this place. It was so big with so many rooms that he the awe was plain on his face. Trying to memorize every room and ignore the grumbling of his belly, he almost bumbed into Melenis as they stopped in a courtyard.

Being told to relinquish his weapon made him glance quickly at Melenis until the Mistress roaded at them to obey. Handing over his belt knife and sword was no problem as he fought better wih his bare hands, much more so then with the sword he was still learning to use.

Hearing that they had to run laps made him grateful that he was in the Void so his disappointment didn't show. Instead he looked at the Mistress and was about to say something when he caught Melenis running off to start from the corner of his eye. Swallowing what he had been going to say he ran after his friend until he caught up. Then he set his pace to match hers.

After the running of 100 laps was done he lead the way back through the compound. First he stoppped by the kitchen's and begged some water and a piece of jerky for himself and Melenis. Drinking half the skin of water, he handed the rest to her as he started on his jerky and continued to the Mistress' office.

Stopping before her door, he knocked three times and waited for permission to enter.

  3. Masuko had been practicing that quiet clearing of her mind for days and was getting frustrated. She would get to a point where she could almost feel...something but something always caught her away from it before she was sure it was even there. Completely frustrated and feeling like something was missing she went to the next class.

Sitting down she noticed that only one other girl was there yet. Sitting in the front of the class near the desk she started to clear her mind and waited, somewhat impatiently for it to start.

After the other girls were there she was surprised when the shutters closed and the lights were winked out. She thought she could almost sense something tickling her mind in her calm center but then the lights started up and her attention was dragged away as she stared in awe. Seeing the Mistress appear from nowhere at this point didn't faze her in the least, she was however full of desire to learn how to do that trick though.

Listening to Larindhra Sedai as she explained the roses and instructed them in how to touch the Source, Masuko was insulted that she had missed that she needed a focus point. That's it! Something to focus on! I should have realized that the stone had been the focus of the test and now we are to use roses. Can I use something other then roses though? The Mistress did when she teste me so why not? The disappointment and anger with herself was evident on her face for a moment before she brushed it aside and replaced it with a strong look of determination.

With those thoughts rattling through her mind she memorized the roses. Thinking quickly she decided to think of something from her childhood that could be slowly brought to light in her mind. Thinking of a hawk slowly speading it's wing, she picture every feather and detail of the hawk's beautiful figure in a swooping pose. She held it so perfectly in her mind that the sudden sense of enhanced life and power went unnoticed until the Mistress of Novices was standing by her side and whispering something in her ear. Holding on to the image and hence the Source she turned and with a look of extreme concentration said softly, " I'm sorry Larindhra Sedai, could you repeat that please?"

  4. Dainin listened and was pleased by the Lord's answer. His anger faded until it was barely felt as he obeyed and sat down. Closing his eyes he made a flame the size of a candle within his inner sactuary. Thinking all his thoughts into that flame was hard. He started with what the Lord had first said and went from there.

I used fire without knowing what I did, was that channeling? According to the man who helped me get here it was, so that means I have the spark. I was born with this great gift and meant to have it. No more being the weakling and a nobody! Now I have Power to do whatever I want and a teacher to give me private lessons! Realizing he was getting angry and feeling the Power start to build around him he remembered his Lord's words. Feed it to the flame let it consume my old life and accept my new life. It got easier as he went and in a few moments he was calm and in control. The Power that was Saidin was there surrounding him like the raging fire of his past and he was determined to beat and overcome it.

Focusing on the flame he called a trickle of Saidin into him. It was tough to hold the rest of that storming whirling Power back when it made him feel so alive. With that feeling of extreme life came the sense of sickness creeping on the edges of his trickle and the Power itself. It was that sickness that made him fight and win against the urge to draw more. Thinking of Saidin and the life with the sickness in it he asked the Dreadlord, " What is the sick feeling to it and can it be seperated from the rest my Lord?" He was starting to sweat a little as he fought that torrent beating and bashing against his control. He was a little surprised that he could hold it and still speak and think, even if just barely. Thinking of one last question before he could lose control he asked, " How do I let go and is there something you can show me to control it and clean my room, my Lord?" He was straining but was surprised as he seemed to be winning and his fight for control became easier. Was that possible?! Now he looked at the Dreadlord and waited for his next instructions and answers.

  5. Masuko was excited to be going to her first class on Saidar. She wanted to learn so much and as soon as possible. Practically bubbling with joy at being able to finally learn, she walked into the classroom and sat down.

She didn't have long to wait before their teacher walked in. Suko was a little disappointed to see that the Mistress of Novices was going to give the class. and her heart sank more and more as she listened to not only the rule about no Saidar without proper supervision but that there would be no channeling this lesson at all! Feeling defeated she listened to the instructions on the list being handed out. Taking hers she glanced at it and then listened to her roommate's question.

In her mind she was weighing whether or not her roommates would tell if she praticed in her rooms. She might have to go somewhere else to practice. That meditative thing she did to me to test me should help and as soon as I learn more I can push further. Her mind made up she waited for the Mistress of Novices' response.

  6. Running in to the training grounds he allowed himself a little smile. These new soldiers are on the verge of falling over! I might be winded but at least I'm standing easily. Coming to a walk that slowed to a stop near Arath, he focused on slowing his body to normal speeds and breath grasping Saidin easily to help him. The enhanced sense of life followed by the constant struggle between the Taint and the raging inferno that was brought on by the Power was a welcome, and near constant, companion these days.

Listening to Arath he brought about two earthern training dummies and motioned two soldiers to him. Watching Ikki, Cain decided to teach Fire Weaves instead of air. Pulling moisture into the dummies he commands the attention of the soldiers.

" Calling upon Saidin I want you to draw Fire like so," and he wove a strand of Fire and snaked it towards the dummies head. " Now ignite it like so. As long as you hold it you can set them on fire like so." He caused the thread to grow hotter at the tip on the dummies head until it ignited twigs and leaves that had been swept into the creation. Weaving quick threads he reformed the head and turned back to the soldiers. " Now you do it, you can hit any part of the body you can focus on but I will mention those who hit the head for some relaxation time."

Once the two soldiers had grasped the weave and could do it correctly he lead them in the next exocise. " Next take a Fire thread like so and expand it as best you can, like this." He drew the Fire into a thin wall that was six hands high by six hands wide. Then he ignited it and shoved the wall at the dummies. " This is difficult but if you start the Weave right in front of the dummies without anchoring it you can move the wall by pushing with your thread. It is tiring and you won't be able to move it far during this lesson. Start with a one hand by one hand wall, like a shield, right in front of it and then push it into the dummies. Begin." Watching the soldiers try it until they got it right, he was glad when it only took a few tries for each of them.

Forming the dummies back to normal was a quick task and then it was on to a more intense Weave that required two threads. " Next we are going to mix Fire and Earth like so. Look at this rock here. Watch my Weaves carefully. Now pick up the rock and hit your target." Once he set the Weaves, going slowly for the soldiers benefit, then he picked it up. He prepared shields of air bubbles around the soldiers and called to the others close by, " Explosion coming!" Then he threw the rock and it hit the dummy's head and sent pieces of rock everywhere. The rock shreds cut through the dummy's head and into its body, but it bounced of the shields that had gone up everywhere close by.

The two soldiers had a few tries before he allowed them to throw the rocks. Before they did he made them shield themselves and warn others to do the same. " Very good. Now take a break, get some water and something to eat. Make it quick mind, I don't want to wait too long before continuing."

  7. Gaidan was grateful that the Mistress accepted his reasons and that he had not given her anymore reason to lecture or scorn him. His determination however never faltered when given the chance to back down and leave.

" Gaidan Hatori," he spared a glance for Melenis but he trusted her by now and spoke his home's name without hesistation, " Willar, Amadicia Mistress."

Watchimg his name and town be put in the book brought torn emotions from him. On one hand he was proud that he was going to be allowed to train and the other hand he wished he didn't he didn't have to give the name of his home and jepordize his family should anyone in the wrong position find out. Shaking off his mixed feelings he stood and waited to follow the Mistress around for the tour.

  8. Masuko looked over at her roommate and gave a strained smile as she replied, " It was a little more active then usual when I left. Besides my family being killed," here she got a quick pained look followed quickly by determination in her eyes," the King was talking to a bunch of green clothed women whom I can only guess are Green sisters by the look of their warriors. I was in a grievious state so I didn't notice if their faces were smooth as most Aes Sedai's are. Seeing the Warders here around the Tower is what makes me feel that they are Green Sisters." Looking away briefly she noticed that Eadon Sedai was ready with her response so she turned her attention back to her Mentor.

Hearing her describe the meaning of the Green Sisters she was amazed and truely felt like these were they sisters for her. It didn't bother her that they expected devotion and loyalty, her fater had often said that those two things were vital for a warrior of the Northern lands. " Surely I can share my devotion and loyalty for Arafel and my King to the Green Ajah and its cause Eadon Sedai?! I want to fight! Not just for my family but also for all those that fight in the cursed Blight. Please any advice that you or anyone else can give would surely aid me attaining a place among you noble Green Sisters Eadon Sedai," and looking at the other Sisters in the room," Aes Sedai."

Masuko Svetanya, Novice of the White Tower

  9. Masuko was taken aback slightly by the intensity of Larindhra Sedai's response. Mollified as she was sure she was suppose to be, she took the offered seat. When the gem was produced she let the Mistress of Novices words wash over her and carry her through the exocise. Focusing on the gem she at first felt nothing, but as she focused and allowed the anger and defiance wash out of her she felt a warmth building in her chest and mind. As she focused it eventually spread through her whole body and felt like a sweet and powerful heat filled her to bursting as the gem started to glow. Just as gradually as it came to her it was abruptly gone as Larindhra Sedai spoke again.

Hearing that she could channel and had one less part of her goal to worry about left a warmth in her heart. Enough that she relaxed in her chair. She was a little disappointed to hear that it would be some time before she could fight in the Blight but at least she was on her way.

She wasn't sure what caused the Aes Sedai to turn sour again so she sat up to better answer the questions and made sure to use proper curtesy. " My name is Masuko Svetanya, I am fourteen and hail from Shol Arbela Larindhra Sedai. I apologize for my earlier attitude, I just have strong reasons for wanting to learn and am still dealing with my grief Larindhra Sedai." She bowed her head to hide both her grief and her fiery determination and waited for her next orders.

  10. Dainin followed the man through the interior of the fortress to hallway and down it. He was thinking of how he didn't want to wait until the next day to start learning to control this new power. Watching the man check some rooms he thought of how to broach the issue without offending when the man stopped at a door and informed him he had to clean it with his new skills and only his new skills. It gave him the perfect means to ask to learn now rather then later.

" My Lord, if I could start learning now it would be better wouldn't it? I mean I would very much like to have some exsorcise or some small teaching to pratice with tonight, if my Lord could spare the time?"

He bowed once more as he waited for a response. While he waited he started thinking of how unfair it would be to demand he clean the room with skills he didn't yet have. He was getting angry and he knew he had already used the skill of fire while angry, so surely he could use his anger to spark a skill to clean the room. Please let this Lord teach me something or else I might get mad enough to do something foolish!

    Dainin Raskowa, Dreadlord Acolyte

  11. Masuko was surprised at having found Eadon Sedai so quickly. It must be the Creators blessed hand! To just happen to speak to my mentor before any other could not be anything else. Gatering her wits swiftly she retrieved a cup of mint tea with just a dollop of hiney to sweeten it, then she returned to her mentor.

Hearing the Greens described in such a simple statement made her feel instantly easier. The Battle Ajah! I so want to battle the forces of the Blight! Gathering her words quickly she practically gushed the words as she spoke.

"Eadon Sedai, my name is Masuko Svetanya and I hail from Arafel. My father and brother were killed fighting in the Blight and my truest wish is to be able to avenge them and protect others from similiar deaths. If the Green Ajah stands for Battles and fierceness then I will most definately join with them when I become a sister."

She didn't feel foolish for her words, instead every line of her face and every gesture of her body spoke of such determination that most would flinch back from her and her passionately fierce words. She hoped Eadon Sedai wouldn't find her to be too much and accepted her passion and determination for what it was.

  12. Dainin porceed to follow the hooded man the rest of the way to the Fortress where they went through the only gate. Oce inside they dismounted and not waiting to see what became of the horses Dainin strode after the man to the main door of the massive fortress. Dainin gazed around as the walked and saw a few shadowspawn and Draghkar flying overhead, altough he wouldn't learn that name until later.

He was a little afraid of this place and that fear made him angry. He didn't like the unknown and things he had no control over and fear of those things he eagerly turned to rage. Rage he could use to fight back and find the will to carry on no matter what. Seeing a figure coming out of the door he quickly stilled his face, making it emotionless.

Not waiting to see if the figure was male or female he bowed, lowering his head both as a sign of respect and a need to hide the fire in his eyes. Thinking quickly he said, " I am Dainin and according to this man I am here to train as a channeler for the Dreadlords. I humbly await your command, Master."

    Dainin Raskowa, Dreadlord Acolyte

  13. Sorry for the double post.

Arath did you want to kick off a class post? Can we start before getting scores?

    Thanks

*Whispers* The sooner the better my precious!*Listens to his alter ego* Yes we can!*Rubs hands together with mischievious grin*

  14. Having been informed her Mentor was to be a Green Sister by the name of Eadon Sedai, Masuko decided to go to the Tea party in the Greens section of the Tower. She vaguely remembered the warrior who had told her to come to the Tower going to stand by one of the women waiting to speak to the Arafellin King. Could it be that they were Green Sisters? she wondered. Maybe I belong with the Greens or the Creator is giving me a nudge in the direction I should go? Weel, there is only one way to find out. With her braid jingling slightly she realized she stood before the door that was suppose to be where the Tea gathering was.

Determined to find out what the Greens Sisters stood for and who her Mentor was she knocked briskly on the door and entered.

"Begging pardon Aes Sedai, but may I join you for tea please?" she said sounding not at all like she was begging. Then she curtsied and held it while she softly said, " I was wondering if we might discuss what it means to be Green and if someone could point out Eadon Sedai, Aes Sedai."
