  1. Apologies on being inactive again. I've been a bit busy and I honestly wish I could get more into the game, but I'm having a bit of difficulty. Though I do have some things to say on this game.

I was going to drop a vote on Dawn out the gate.

I pulled up Dawn's last scum game and she pushed town!Cory of all people as her D1 suspect.  She's not a player who will necessary avoid the loud people and go after a soft target.  I've seen no indication yet that she has reads beyond the first few pages of the game, and that needs to change.

The last time I played mafia was what, two years ago? I don't remember the game. You can link it to me if you want. Anyway, I'd assume my playing style has changed since then. (Though not visibly yet, considering my activity.) Another reason I'm posting so little is to try to avoid saying stupid stuff and getting made fun of which happened in EVERY mafia game I've ever played and was honestly annoying. To be fair, though, I was constantly posting joke votes and revenge votes if I recall which WAS pretty stupid.

    LZM why did you claim?

It explained it in my half missing case.

Turin was of the popular opinion of top townie. I went along with it. I figure, hey, either he's town and scum will nk him, or he's scum and won't be targeted at all. Not much grey room but my brain don't work that way anyway.

So I viewed him, and no one targeted him. I've been playing controversial and he has been on me like white on rice all game.

Act 2: Killa is scum mate and I've been hard on her all game. Shad votes Zep and Shad is the nk. Perfect opportunity to throw doubt Zep away and try for him being the next lynch.

    2+2 equals Turins A LLL

This is called pushing a narrative and is something that I do sometimes. Mostly when I am mafia. Sometimes when town and in a bit of a tunnel.

The bold sets the false conditions: Since I was being town read by many I was a shoe in to be killed on N1. This is inherently false. Mafia will kill who they want to. for whatever reasons they decide is important. They might have been cop hunting. They might have thought Shad was more on the correct path or would get there better than I would. I do tend to get distracted. I can get into a tunnel. the point is it isn't black or white and you saying that if I wasn't killed then it must mean I'm mafia is not logical.

The italics are your information. It might be correct. in might not. Lets say it is. all it means is I wasn't targeted last night. I am a bit surprised tbh as I can be a bit of a night action magnet.

The underlined is irrevelant. You really want to say that because I was suspicious of you when you were self admittedly playing "controversially" that makes ME mafia? Sorry but try again.

Finally the BIG RED SMOKING GUN: hOW DO YOU KNOW THAT SHAD WAS THE MAFIA KILL???

    Thanks for playing

I've got to agree with Turin on this. LZM goes after suspected town just because nobody targeted him at night. Is there a specific scum role that allows them to view the roles of other players? If so, Turin might have been viewed and had a weak role, so they picked either Shad or Niniel instead (probably Shad based on LZM's possible slip) and then claimed to prevent suspicion. Shad and Niniel were also believed to be town by most, I think. Or the possibility that Turin has been way off on his reads and the scum didn't see him as a threat. And somehow knowing that Shad was the mafia kill? Sounds like a slip to me.

Now, about Darthe. LZM decides to make a long post analyzing Darthe's (very inactive) play so far and people haven't really been talking about Darthe. My bet is that LZM's on a scum team with Darthe and he made this post to distance the two.

Ironeyes suddenly jumps on Darthe, but that seems like too dumb of a play for someone who isn't scum to make, so I'm going to say Ironeyes probably isn't scum.

  2. My favourite pool I've actually swam in:

    Glenwood Hot Springs, Colorado

    Brigerbad, Switzerland

The pool I MOST want to go to:

    san-alfonso-del-mar.jpg

    San Alfonso Del Mar, Chile

I don't like pools that are too cold or are crowded, especially crowded with small children. I really like hot springs pools. The worst pool I've ever been in is Thunder Bay at Waterworld...it's basically a giant wet mosh pit.

Oh, and I LOVE water slides.

  3.

I don't have a read on her. She's had.......1 post I believe. You could very well be right. She could be scum. I was failing to see how you connected me to her. I saw no defense there from her towards me.

She told Dice he was tinfoiling irt his joke vote on your slot.

You can read her post as a pure joke or as a joke with the underlying motive of manipulating Dice's perception of your slot, basically. That's the connection--the "defense" potential, if you will. It's a pretty classic Turin thing to call out, and the playful way he did it vs drawing more attention to his reasoning up front makes me think he's probably town. At least, to the degree that I am willing to chuck out that opinion early in a game where I don't expect a huge volume of information to process and refine my reads by.

I think it's unlikely that Killa was trying to defend anyone there if scum, in so far as wolves seldom jump at an early joke vote. Doesn't rule out any alignments, just not something I'm willing to bank an early read on. I do think she came off awkwardly formal in both of those posts, which could just be how she speaks or could be that thing that especially new wolves do where they worry too much about how their tone is going to rub off on people in the joke phase and subsequently adapt an unnatural tone. We'll see where it goes.

I'm thinking in retrospect that by "he's accusing Killa of manipulation but wording it in a way to make it sound as though he really isn't" you mean red.

But read on and I'm very explicitly saying that I don't think that's the case so "but wording it in a way to make it sound as though he really isn't" more like just "he really isn't".

The manipulation thought was already on the table via Turin.  I am acknowledging it and then explicitly refuting it.  Make sense?

Yes, that was what I was referring to. It seems like you were agreeing with it, then changing your mind kinda suddenly. And I'd hardly call you "explicitly" refuting it. You just said "unlikely" which is an uncertainty and honestly just feels a bit strange, as though you were trying to give the impression of uncertainty to make yourself seem less like scum.

Also, Killa's tone never struck me as nervous. I'm not the best at reading emotions but nothing she said ever gave me the slightest hint to her feeling that way.

  4. I'd very much like to see everyone take a stance between Dice and LZM.

Otherwise I'm going to consider consolidating to prevent a 10% shot of lynching a slot I know is town and I would wager Killa will do the same.

But good luck contacting Dawn.  She dumped an unexplained vote and peaced out immediately.  It's not obvious that Darthe will be around either.  Dunno about LZM but it's kind of obvious which of the two he would vote anyway.

Sorry about that. My explanation's the same thing I wrote earlier...I know it's not much but it's really all I have at this point in the game. I'm going to reread some of Dice and LZM's threads and see if I can get a lean from them, but I'm not guaranteeing anything.

I'd say Shad seems a bit suspicious considering how deeply he's reading into something I never would have given a second thought, especially since it seemed a bit too early in the game for that, but that might just be his playing style. It appears to me that here, he's accusing Killa of manipulation but wording it in a way to make it sound as though he really isn't, just to make us all think about it a bit, if that makes sense. Is Killa's tone in this game significantly different than how she normally speaks? I didn't notice anything unusual.

  5.

    Vote count:

    Dice (2) - Nini, Turin

    Killa (2) - Led, Darthe

    LedZepMan (2) - Killa, Shad

    Not voting: Everyone else.

With 10 people alive, 6 votes are required for a lynch.

    bla_1498082400.png

So Dice, Marsh, Nyn and Dawn, who you all looking to vote?

Since Shad's the only person I have even somewhat of a scum lean towards, I think I'm going to Vote: Shad.

Darthe is someone I've played with a lot in the past and his inactivity is really, really weird...but not really a sign of anything, seeing as he's always been very active as both scum and town. Possibly third party, if there is one in the game. Of all the people here I feel like he's the one I have most experience playing with, so I'll be paying more attention to him as he gets more active.

  6. As long as he doesnt get black grease on the dough.

Worse, it gets tossed onto a tree.

I'm just reminded of this episode of Code Geass.

    410626-pizza_super.jpg

Yes, that's a giant mech tossing pizza dough.

And that reminds me of this AMV

That was fantastic. Only thing it was missing was a scene from The Devil is a Part-Timer.

  7. Ahah for some reason I had a feeling as soon as I got my pm that I was going to end up on a lynch train day one. No idea why but it is funny for raisins. Anyway, how do I talk my way back into folks good graces? If not things will play out for me exactly as my hunch suspected.

For some reason I have a feeling this means Killa has a powerful town role and we'll regret it if we lynch her, but who knows. There's no other reason I can think of that she'd feel this way.  Going with the unpopular opinion here and saying she's NOT scum.

  8. I'd say Shad seems a bit suspicious considering how deeply he's reading into something I never would have given a second thought, especially since it seemed a bit too early in the game for that, but that might just be his playing style. 9. I enjoyed the fifth Pirates, but it wasn't really anything new either.

I feel like I was the only person who actually liked all 3 Hobbit movies. Sure, it was unnecessary, but the Battle of the Five Armies was practically just summarized in the book and I liked getting to see all the details.

The fact that there's going to be a Toy Story 4 seems unnecessary. Toy Story 3 was the perfect ending, come on.

  10. The main reason why I prefer animated to live action is primarily due to the fact that I have very poor facial recognition and often get confused in movies/tv shows unless characters have distinct costumes. There's no way I'd be able to tell Egwene and Nynaeve apart during season one, I know that for sure.

  11. Please, please don't make the assumption that I'll be having kids. It's one of my biggest pet peeves. Besides that, I'll be going to college and living in a dorm...don't have to buy a house. Yet.

There's no way in hell I'd ever smoke. Also, I don't feel too disappointed by the drinking age because *gasp* I don't like the taste of alcohol.

  12. Personally, I want it to be an anime.  I think it could be great, especially with the success in the past with Full Metal Alch and recently Attack on Titan, it could do well.  It would also help with internal thoughts of the characters and could keep the OP to not be cheesy.  But the money is in the live action which opens up a whole can of possible awfulness.  Whatever the case, I would find a way to watch it when it comes out and even watch tho whole first season, even if it's bad.

You're not alone. I'd love an anime too.

And I've seen plenty of non-cheesy anime. Deltora Quest is a bad example since both the book series and the anime were aimed at children, whereas Wheel of Time would not be.
