On D1, as a townie I would gladly take a 3p lynch. Mafia is best case scenario, but at the end of the day removing non-town players is the way to go.

Disagree - town should be hunting everybody not town. On D1, when it's the hardest to hit mafia, if a 3p spews themselves, town should lynch. It's that simple. lol that you think me voting you here means I'm scum

Not sure I like DPR as the counterwagon here. I'd prefer one of my top 2, but I don't think I'm getting that. TURIN - 3 (Cass, Zander, DPR) CASS - 1 (Darthe) DPR- 3 (Seph, Hallia, Turin) Not starting a new wagon here, and not voting Cass for reasons already provided. Also not DPR as I mentioned above - seph is in my top 2, and Turin has pretty much done what I did last game and painted a target on himself (for better or for worse). I don't have much of a read on Hallia yet, other than not liking the quick DPR vote without what I feel is a solid reason. That maybe links her with Turin if he flips scum. I'm willing to see if somebody says something ridiculous and outs themselves first, though.

I know this wasn't at me, but I can say I did not read up on it. Theme = flavor, unless the mod says otherwise. And the mod has not said otherwise. TBH any discussion on this topic is meh at best and gaming the mod at worst. Or to put it in the terms of the new gen peeps, "angleshooty".

Depends on what you're calling meta in this case? Meta = a player's style? Yes, I do call things out like this all the time - it's part of my style of play. Meta = most effective tactics available? Yes, I do think it's an effective tactic, and I use it. So I guess I should have just said "yes", heh.

And this is the 2nd thing for me - I don't like this. Thinking anybody that has a different POV than you is just likely to be scum is super rigid thinking. Maybe it works for you, but it rubs me the wrong way. Again, just my POV here.

Interesting VC. My D1 scum reads are interestingly Darthe & seph. Super low confidence level, and only began with a single post. But I noted a single post w/ Lenlo last game and was right, so I'll keep the reads alive until game information says otherwise. Darthe: his town core post - seemed to be looking for town cred seph: his reaction to Key's catchup/case post. Specifically, he mentioned "nodding along with her points". To me, that's pocketing 101 and a scumtell. Neither are strong, but whatever. And they are both voting Cass, which means I'm not voting Cass today.

I've read the past couple pages, and skimmed the 8-9 before that. It was mostly them.

It is not mean. I know you're new, but like Turin said in his spoiler quote, the town leader thing has been discussed in the previous games, which you were in. Look at it from my POV. At some point, you'll understand and learn the terms and how to apply them. Then if you're scum, you can fake "still learning" and get town cred from people because they don't realize you're lying. To say you don't feign anything is not right - when scum, you'll feign everything. When town, you might feign some things to try and trap scum. Last game, I was trying to be suspicious (I just went a bit too far with that, heh). That was me feigning. Hope you understand where I'm coming from - never intended to be mean, just playing the game.

We actually weren't discussing him specifically - I was just pointing out things I agree and disagreed with Turin on. When new players ask questions I think they already know the answer to, it makes me nervous. As in "feigning ignorance". Hard to tell when the real ignorance ends and the feigning begins.

If I'm being fair, it might not be a stretch for me to say I've been at a minimum as invested in the thread as you have.
