Looking forward to some ice fishing and volunteering at a Mathcounts event through the Minnestoa Society of Professional Engineers.

I'm mostly up to date on the MCU. Haven't seen Eternals or the latest Spiderman yet.

My favorites are probably Winter Soldier and Thor: Ragnarok. Black Widow was fun.

Since I moved my last post, thought I might as well post something relevant here.

I finished up Hawkeye a couple weeks ago and really enjoyed. Don't have any connection to the source material so I was able to take everything at face value and as it came.

Was a nice way to watch. No preconceived notions or expectations.

2021 was a gong show. 2022 I want to buy a new truck.

Mat killed the Grinwells. He makes it back to Emonds Field and his sisters only to have the darkness inside him take over. He kills them too.

Loial takes the Shadar Logoth dagger from Fain. He brings it back to Stedding Shangtai. Mashadar consumes the stedding. In his madness Loial travels the Ways to every stedding trailing Mashadar in his wake. Erith is turned to dust.

I feel unclean now.

Are you working thru a reread start to finish or just wanted to read Book 7?

I've been thinking about starting a reread, it's been a long time since I've read most of them. Got on an audiobook relisten kick for awhile, but haven't done that for awhile either.

I think it's just for the visual effect. Tigraine seems to be quite high on the slope (we see the White Tower far away and noticeably lower in one scene) so the artillery couldn't be moved uphill and close very easily.

Based on the perceived elevation was thinking trebuchet/catapult were unlikely which got me thinking channeler instead.

Really hope we still get Aludra and her dragons, but I guess that could be it as well.

Book recollection was fuzzy so couldn't recall on the Wise Ones but now my memory is filling in. Good call on the three oaths preventing the Aes Sedai from bejng the casters.

I'm guessing projectiles from an unreasonable distance because they look cool.

Rewatching the episode, and just noticed the fireballs crashing into Dragonmount during the cold open.

Who's slinging fireballs? Did Aes Sedai fight at the Battle of the Shining Walls? Is it Aiel Wise Ones?

I found this out by "accident".

The spelling problem may be directly related to the whiskey/vodka situation. Or so a friend told me.

I don't even know where the closest Hardee's is. But I guess I'm going to find out.

Next question is how bad I want a plastic cup.

I think Rosamund Pike will be around for the long haul. Her separation from the EF5 should still happen but I think it will play in parallel and she won't be AWOL for more thsn a couple episodes if that.

My guess is that she takes on Cadsuane's role, with maybe a sterner/harsher posture after her travels in Finnland.

Maybe she gets some fancy headgear ter'angreal to match her sweet shoulder pads.

The prophecies surrounding The Dragon Unborn are even harder to interpret than the Karaethon Cycle...who knows what they are capable of.

I could still see Siuan being Moiraine's downfall. Maybe she's decked out in "full regalia" when/if the Tower splits and Moiraine's downfall follows from the subsequent interrogation. 

Could also see it being Elaida/Liandrin/Mesaana/Lanfear/whatever they end up doing.

Don't think it will be Egwene as Amrylin that brings Moiraine down.

My initial post jokingly called out no menageries, but Carnivals could totally be Valan Luca!

I like the Rainbows = Taveren Color Swirls idea.
