I just finished reading Crown of Vengeance (Book One of The Dragon Prophecy) -- twice within 2 weeks.  The Dragon Prophecy series is a prequel to the Obsidian Trilogy and Enduring Flame Trilogy by Mercedes Lackey and James Mallory.  Unfortunately, it looks like the next book, Blade of Empire, won't be released till next year. 

Was it maybe in New Spring when Moiraine and Siaun were buying new dresses after having passed their testing?  I don't have the books in front of me so I can't check but I do know there was some discussion about stripes and lace and color and how Moiraine knew the seamstress would get her and Siaun back (for disagreeing with her, I think) by giving Siaun lots of lace and making one or more of Moiraine's dresses a very, very pale blue.

I just finished and I feel . . . I don't know what. Unutterable loss, for one.  So many old friends lost.  It broke my heart to see Egwene die but at the same time, I saw it coming as soon as Gawyn chose not to tell her about the rings.  Siaun - her death shattered me.  Rhuarc being Compulsed broke my heart.

Tuon infuriated me when she met with Egwene. I could cheerfully have throttled her.  Egwene . . . well, she positively shone in this book in spite of her flaws.  

But, yes, I feel like I lost many old friends.
