Nice! That was a fun dance!

That must have been intense!

Now that I'm home, it's trying to get me to join the Faceless. I don't think it will let me join the Swarm because they are the majority in both places. I'm going to go ahead and join the Faceless just so I can play.

Incredible.

My bad. I only read until the post where you said you would update the original one, and those still appeared to be available. Oh, well.
-
I held off on joining because it was trying to force me into the Legion. That was the only enlistment option that I can find. It came as a "transmission," and I can't get past that screen to see if a different faction might offer to take me in. You are certain I can switch after joining, right?

Swarm it is, then! According to that map, there is green all over my neighborhood.

I signed up and used your codename. I don't have time to fiddle with it right now, but I'll look into it later tonight. I don't want to do like I did with Pokemon and choose a faction that is powerless in my area, so can I see some sort of map before choosing? I want to know that I will have adequate support at home and at work, where I will be playing. I have no desire to be one of seven purple dudes in a town with seven thousand red and six thousand green. If it's close, I'll just pick the faction I like best, but if one of the three is quite dominant, why get my ass kicked? I'll join the rampaging mob...

Yeah, that would be cool.

Yeah, that was epic. I had been hoping and waiting for that, too.

I liked the series better when Lucas was spinning the tale. It felt more like mythology then; now, it just feels like a story. It is still entertaining, but it lacks the weight that it had before.
I had hoped it would take an interesting twist when
Kylo Ren offered his hand to Rey and invited her to let it all burn and rule the universe with him.
I was really pulling for that to happen, as that would have been rather fresh and unexpected, allowing the story to go somewhere unique, but alas.

Sounds good. Keep in mind that his writing improves over time, so read Elantris with a grain of salt. Don't let the bad dialogue stop you from reading any of his other works. Mistborn is much better, and his current writing is quite polished. All of his tales are fun and imaginative, even if they have rough patches.

Oathbringer was outstanding! I thought it drug for quite awhile once they
went to Kholinar,
but it wasn't that bad, and the ending was epic. I can't wait for the next one!

Curling is fine. I like shuffleboard, and curling is similar. It's not something I can get real excited about, but it's better than the decathlon.

No more questions left. We have run out of time, and BFG was the clear winner! Good job everyone!

You're right--Sooh does have one point, and I forgot to carry Lessa over, too. I have edited the most recent point count, and it also reflects your correct answer for #11, which is indeed Nordic Combined. Biathlon is cross-country skiing and shooting. I thought I had addressed that one earlier, but obviously I didn't. :-/

It's a Grateful Dead bear.

You go, Blank! The judges give that a solid 9.4!
Correct on both counts, so the point total is now:
BFG: 8 points
Lessa Nikia: 2 points
Mashiara Sedai: 2 points
Blank: 2 points
Sooh: 1 point
We still need an answer for #13, and I think there are some early ones from the first list of questions that haven't been answered.

Third wheel bench?

A skating rink?

I suppose I could agree with that, depending on the...athlete.

I liked the first one alright. It starts out rather clumsily, but it gets better as it goes along. It's almost like he took the writing more seriously after a certain point. He has an interesting barrier between lands in that book; I think an entire book could have been written around that alone if he had been so inclined.
I have read a couple of interviews with him where I found him insufferable though, and that has colored my perception of his writing. I bogged down in the second book and didn't finish, but I did enjoy the first book after maybe 1/3 of the way through. The Mord-Sith are a surprising fantasy element...
