  4. I started a fresh thread for this. Cause I want to win. THAT. BAD
  5. Greetings my minions! It is now time for us all to go forth and VOTE LIKE CRAZY to make sure Rand wins the suvudu Cage Match. VOTE. Now. Do I really need to explain why?
  6. That's a fair point. Although I've been thinking that Rand's mental state is 75% or more related to stress and depression rather than taint-induced madness. What do you think?dsd
  7. Leigh and I.... we have an understanding you see: Blindly tell the world to love TGS and everyone will follow us. Muwahaha. We shall rule the world!
  8. Here;s Leigh's review (spoiler free) http://www.tor.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=blog&id=58119 And I toooooolllllddddd you guys it was good! :P
  9. Deadsy! Never thought I'd see you here on DM. ;-) Welcome. I agree. TGS is one of the top 3-5 books in the series. I change my mind often on which are my favorites, but there's no doubt that TGS belongs near the top. J
  10. This topic has been moved to The Gathering Storm Spoiler Board. [iurl]http://forums.dragonmount.com/index.php?topic=49176.0[/iurl]
  11. If you've read the book, what was our favorite chapter or scene. Mine was Chapter 22: The Last That Could Be Done :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o
  12. Thanks for the feedback everyone. I think everyone who reads TGS is going to find at least one character who feels "off" to them. I pointed this out in my review. I chose deliberately not to share who it was at the time, because I didn't want to taint people's expectations going in. But now that you've read it (and if you're reading this, I hope you have!) for me, it was Mat. From what I have heard from others (including you), he's the one who will get the most backlash. We should just remember that Mat is HARD to write. He's clearly going to have a major role in TOWER OF MI
  13. Hi guys, For the past four WoT novels, I've had the privilege of being the first one to review it. Most likely, this trend will continue for the last two novels as well. While I realize I am closely tied to the Harriet, Brandon, and Tor, I sincerely try to do my best to review the book from an impartial POV. For that reason, I'd like to know how I did. Here's the link to my TGS review. If, and ONLY if, you have read the entire book, please vote on the poll above to let me know how you think I did. Also, comments welcome, but keep it polite. I'm open to feedback in the in
  14. Want to meet up with Brandon and/or Harriet for an hour or so in a small, private setting? Here's your chance: http://www.dragonmount.com/News/?p=674 Good luck to all applicants
  15. YES! There is a fairly small mystery that gets introduced into this book. (No, it's not another murder mystery). Actually, it's not even a mystery for the characters. Its just something that makes you wonder "Wait a second, what's this all about?" I asked Brandon about it and he was very mysterious on his answer. Then, eventually, it hit me like a ton of bricks. I have an awesome theory and I want to see how many other people pick up on it. I'm certain it will make it into the WoTFAQ. Can't wait for you guys to read it. (Hint: the "mystery" is introduced in a Nynaeve POV chapte
  16. >>> Jason, does Brandon make use of the following actions: sniffing, snorting, folding arms beneath breasts, braid tugging, smoothing skirts? It would be odd if they were wholly absent. RE: You know, I honestly don't remember. I think we get at least one braid yank. (Fine... There's a tiny itty bitty spoiler for you loyal DM fans. Nynaeve is in the book) :P >>> Which character did you feel Brandon was best able to capture the voice of (provided you don't think telling us this character is in the book counts as a spoiler)? RE: Personally, I thought he did the
  17. I can't answer plot questions like that, guys. So please don't ask. "Does Cadsuane shut up at all?" >> I love her character. I think Brandon wrote her extremely well.
  18. Oh, and, yes, there will be a new map as well. I did not see it though. And no, I will not tell you what location it is for. Ask Brandon about how it was designed though. It's a neat story.
  19. Without any hints on which, are there any major plots from previous books resolved in TGS? >> Yes. Can we expect answers to any of the series' many ongoing unanswered questions? Again, just fishing for Yes or No. Im not thinking of Asmodean here, but things like how Slayer became the way he did, where Demandred has been, etc. >> Yes. 1. Given it was an advanced reading copy of some sort, can you give us any indication of the length of the book? Does it end up longer or shorter then KOD? >> See replies above. The manuscript is around 300k words. Not s
  20. Don't lie. I fired you. *nods* ;)
  21. Did you tie him up and demand to know who killed Asmodean? If not... you let us down. ;-)
  22. God help me. I've made a twitter account for DM. If you want to follow my WoT ramblings, (and maybe other stuff w/other people later), then find DM's twitter account at http://www.twitter.com/dragonmount
