Could Rand go through the glass column once more now that the time-direction of the vision has been changed?
EDIT : I forgot that Aviendha went there twice... So I suppose Rand could too. Wouldn't it be a good idea for him to go?
-
There are two or three on the previous page.
Lords of Chaos
The Great Hunt
The Eye of the World
And at this link, some more :
(EDIT : anyone knows how to rename a link so it can be shortens?? It takes an awful lot of place...)
The best are the Fleuve Noir edition (since book 7VO, 13 VF IIRC) the ugliest Pocket, or maybe Rivage. I'm not yet sure... :)
Enjoy ^^

Yes, but it is the damane who weaves. The Oath won't let her weave a weapon, even if the sul'dam wants the damane to do it.
A chanelling sul'dam (Bethamin and Seta for example) could draw the Power from the damane and meld the flow, as they are leading the circle, and so use the damane to make a weapon with the One Power

He said Thom Grinswell. From Carysford IIRC.
Isn't it Carridin who recognize Mat through the window and say it to Sammael? Just before Mili Skane enters? Or something like that, it's a bit fuzzy

Haha indeed Toothbrush. Take care or you'll be burned out, El Oscuro. ^^ it need a lot of practice to look at french cover safely. If you overstep your limit, there are great risks
You know toothbrush, it's closer to read them in your bed, under warm blankets, with sweets and refrechements. No need to go THAT far ;)
But I believe that shall be awesome indeed

I think we all agree on that. We are the master of ugliness. Yeah! Or not so much... but then, for once we do something better than the other ;D
Toothbrush, will have to look, didn't saw those papers. Or maybe yes, but a long time ago, and my memory isn't what it was months ago. P.S : nice blog, btw...

Oh yes indeed, I heard of you, and read a lot of your post (long time lurking during the slowing of the forum) and you indeed seem to have a reputation for arguing and stuborness :)
It's strange to speak english on an english forum with a french who also was on the Stone :D
-
Yup, I'm French. I used to be on Pierre de Tear a long time ago...
You should come back there, the RP started again, and the forum is moving again with lot of new faces (I became modo and Jury des Joutes/Conseil RP). What was your pseudo there, If you don't mind the question?
I agree with you, I started english book at the same time I believe

Indeed Toothbrush! (you're french?) Or an Aes Sedia refering to Green Ajah logic, Kari passing for an Aes Sedai, Aiel carrying swords. Arlette Rosenblum did an awful job at translating the books. (We did a petition for a better translation, and Praise her ironically as Arlette, May She Live Forever). But the new one (I don't even know her name) seems even worse from what I heard...

A french friend I met on a french forum read them in spanish, so I suppose she found them, but I couldn't say where... She read till LoC the last she spoke of it...
I have bought the german version, and the cover are goods. In fact, those are Sweet's covers, but silvery shade, and I admit they are far morr acceptable so :)
We have the book published, yes, but with a bad translation, and we had Knife of Dream this month. Two days ago if I'm not mistaken. And with twice as much books.
-
IMO, the first looks more like the fight against the cavern orc of LotR than anything in WoT... Even Loial or a Trolloc isn't that big! Hopefully, this edition stopped, and now it is far far better with the new edition. We have covers depicting WoT scenes (more or less.. there is one with Rand nearby Tar Valon -_-)
-
right, ok hands down the french win the crappieness contest.
And yeah ok the details on TSH are horrific yeah, but i loved it mostly for the scenery,a nd the wagon....just seeing that cover takes me right back to old skool WoT books that i loved more than life itself.....details are pretty mince though :/
Does that French TDR cover have an actual dragon on it?
And the second one looks like someone ripped off a piece of medieval tapestry
Yes it is a dragon. It took me a while to realize it.
And indeed those are pieces of medieval tapestries, or drawings, not sure. I'll check and try to find the complete ones
Edit : didn't found any information... will have to look in the books themselves, but they are 850 km away, so it will take time ;D
-
THIS is the french cover of the second book in french version (from Whitebridge to the Eye, more or less), The Eye of the World. Don't be disgusted by your covers. We have the ugliest...
This one also, from the Dragon Reborn...
And last but not least, the fourth book (second part of TGH) in another edition. The covers for this edition were awful at first, but became almost acceptable with time. Well, I shall admit I droped after LoC and went to the UK version :)
-
Those are just the stories of her last life. She lived one of her life during the funding of Tar Valon. There aren't many stories left from that time.
This is how I see it.

It is interesting. We indeed see different form of warning from LTT. That goes from "I love this guy" to "I have to kill Demandred", through "kill them before they do". And Mat's and Nynaeve's warning seemed to be increasing as the book goes. Mat hear the rattling more and more, and louder, whereas Nyn feels a chaotic storm under a blue sky. Or feels a blue sky under a dockmaster's sky.

distinctly different location? It's not as if it was on the other side of the Aryth Ocean^^ the Bowl of Winds influenced the weather of the whole World. The backslahsh had to be quite extended too. Both happened around Ebou Dar. There could be what... 100 leagues between both location?
-
DovienGleeman, that is the same war/moment
-
Revealed I don't know, but highly suspected that the use of the Bowl of the Wind was the cause of the diffuculties with the Power. ANd it wasn't only saidin, but also saidar. Look at Galgan's PoV in the chapter. The Damane were terrified because of this. The sul'dam had to keep soothing them.
-
And they themselves mention that they trust each other, but haven't seen each other in a loooong time. They act as if they weren't so close as before, becausr Siuan is Amyrlin, and she risks (risked?) execution because of their task. Moiraine put herself in danger, and she didn't wanted to risk Siuan's life

My question is : What happened to Demiandre's TP channeling plants?
If you knew! The soil they are growing in is a Blight, buds are burning in a blazing furnace, like caverns of fire, leaves are now black and red, and the whole plant is playing sha'rah while muttering about "poking holes".
A real nightmare!
You could make a killing on e-bay
As an aside, I've wondered about this for some time: in the whole DF Aiel Wise One debate, why does no one suspect Melaine?
a killing on e-bay? don't unerstand...
As an aside, I've wondered about this for some time: in the whole DF Aiel Wise One debate, why does no one suspect Melaine?Who would suspect a pregnant woman?

He wasn't supposed to bond multiple Aes Sedai. If I remember well, the Asha'Man said the M'Hael wouldn't be pleased upon hearing that Logain bonded sisters. But I suppose Taim wanted the sisters bonded to his group, not more-or-less indoctrinated chaneller
-
Yes, I forgot this word. Shame on me! :(
In my opinion, to answer your questions :
Nothing. What would happen to Moridin? Partially burned by the Light? It could happen in a swift movement or come Dark Vadorly. It won't be a painful process.
And nothing. Once turned to the cour'souvra, I don't think it would hurt them. I suppose no in fact.

Or as Mat puts it, "I don't know if he is the luckiest man on earth or the more insane", or
"One woman means fun in the dance. Two women means trouble in the house. Three women means run for the hills"

It's Berelain's Thief-catcher who stole it from Masema. In CoT IIRC.
