Q: Given Elayne's involvement with the Last Battle, why didn't we see anything of Morgase (or Tallanvor...or Lini) at all in the last book?

A: Well, Lini is mentioned (page 230), and we see Morgase (page 767). But we couldn’t shoehorn in a scene for every character; it would have read very awkwardly.

Its a shame that they didn't include Morgase.  I felt like she was a relatively major character compared to say, Hurin.  Would have happily swapped one of the Pevara-Androl scenes for a chance to say goodybye to Morgase and Tallanvor.

I actually did not miss Morgase and Tallanvor in AMOL.  I feel their story was wrapped up in TOM.

I agree with LA, I didn't miss Morgase & Tallanvor and thought their story arc was finished.  I liked how Hurin was brought back into the final couple books because it was hinting at his being attached to the Horn after his death, though we never got to see if that happened.  And I personally liked the Pevara-Androl scenes.  It was something new that the AoL Aes Sedai never even experienced.  That new story line showing their double-bonded connection was a glimpse of the future in my opinion.

And on a symbolic level I thought that the Pevara-Androl scenes kind of nodded to the fact that not all relationships are hideously out of balance. I love the women in this series but it was nice to see a couple where both parties were on equal terms with regard to Channeling and the woman was neither domineering (like Aviendha) nor submissive (like Elayne) and wasn't the Empress of the freaking Seanchan. Or Faile.

Pevara and Androl were the only functional couple, the only ones with genuine, open communication going on between them.
