it occurs to me. i thought what my stream of consciousness was supposed to do was to prove i haven't been all fluff with my 620 posts. it's done its job in a way, and it shows i've been thinking about the hunt at the very least.

I mean I only say this ignoring the stuff about contradictions because I know that I as town have contradictcontradicted mymyself in a similar scummy way.

I also don't generally have strong wolf leans which is a major reason you suspect me often, I believe, des

I think it's more because you buddy power townies a lot (which always looks suspect imo), get kinda whyme frymeish at times, and also the overdefensiveness thing, which I've learned isn't really a big scumtell for you at all, but well, it still stands out like crazy when I see it.

It's like MtG tableflip kid- he may not be a bad person, but if you saw someone do that, you'd pretty much instantly assume some douchebaggery there, ya know?

Yeah I don't mean to snap at people sometimes but I play when I'm at work and that gets EXTREMELY stressful so I take out my anger on people that don't deserve it.

I've tried to stop but my mafia addiction is strong.

Trust me, I can DEFINITELY relate. I've had rl stress bleed over into mafia games many times. And I also think you get very emotionally invested into mafia games, like I and others do, which can also lead to the occassional meltdown

Just understand, I'll prob still frustrate the hell out of you in the future, in fact definitely will, but I truly mean no ill will towards you, ever. You're fine when you aint like

Aj:

might be a bit sketchy as i recount the order things happened.

i realized from the vs game he has a large town range. my earliest ping was of him acting satirical, but almost in a stale way i guess. or rigid, or whatever. hallia said his joke in a spoiler was forced, which i thought could be on point, but was also too specific to tell. often times small details like that don't make or break a case. from there i didn't really pay attention to him until he claimed survivor in a round about way. i dont have much experience with the different roles so i didn't actually make much of it at first. my eyes were instead drawn to his reads, and i realized he had two towns as his scum picks, so i figured something was curious.

he explains the reason why im scum is because of my spew. but for that reason in the vs game he cleared me, so it pinged. i think he later clarifies that it was my boasting of the blue clears, but not entirely. i don't honestly think that those two things put together would make aj want me to be lynched d1. at most maybe he'd be suspicious. he should also know thane is a popular mislynch, but i forget his reasoning for thane.

eventually after several people had expressed that aj was likely a survivor of some sort, i came around to the idea. but i still believe his initial pushing of me was irrational, so i intuited he had another agenda.

near eod and after eod he starts showing a lack of wim for obvious reasons.

most of the reason why i dont let go of the idea he has an agenda is because i want to be right.

This one is exceptionally bad, has bad tone, and falls back on contrived looking catchphrases like "he has an agenda"

Pretty much spews AJ clear imo

LIKE SERIOUSLY AGENDA IS A BAD CATCHPRHASE???

I CAME UP WITH IT I MADE IT HAPPEN THIS GAME. ITS WHAT IVE ALWAYS CALLED IT THIS GAME. WHY WOULDNT I SPEAK IN THE SAME WAY HERE????

Go back to ignoring me lawlz

And yes, it's a bad catchphrase. Scum, both young and old, will often fall back on repeating the same stuff they've said about someone before in lieu of showing more of a development on that read, because it can be hard to fake reads. So you catch something you think can stick, or at least looks like it could have genuinely come from a town version of you, then keep repeating it.

You have yet to truly explain what kind of "agenda" AJ might have here, besides just using it to try and discredit any of his pushes against you, and overall make him seem like a big scary person out to commit evil deeds.

intuit. just want to be right. dont really need context to think something's up. i thought 'agenda' fit the quality of feeling best, so i've picked up the word and used it. i haven't cared much for what people think of me using it, and will probably continue to not care very much because it's a veery good word for mafia. agenda. protown agenda. indy agenda (he is a survivor), promafia agenda. when i say agenda here it means somehting not town. probably indy, maybe wolf, but maybe not just survivor.

and dammit i caved.

Yeah all those words and yet you still have yet to explain how AJ has a "mafia agenda" here

Him suspecting you, when you are at the very least an extremely scummy looking townie (and most likely just scum, period) doesn't show him to be having an agenda whatsoever

You just keep repeating that he has an agenda without actually explaining what it is. That's wolfy.

Like, if he's scum, you REALLY think his masterful agenda would be to try and get Sili, the relative newbie, lynched early on? Why in the seven hells would he make that a high priority if you're town? WHYYYYYYY???????????

Okay I still got a lot of quotes grabbed from the last 30 pages or so, but most of them are from Sili (which, when I post them, will def spoiler as it's mostly minor stuff anyways, and there's a lot of it) and besides, I'd rather get the significant stuff out of the way first in case I start losing steam.

So gonna go pull more stuff on Alanna and BFKey

Hallia:

First to go over history, because it's needed as context.

In my first game with hallia she was very bubbly and unhelpful, and it being my second or third game I thought that was a scum tell for which I was wrong.

In my second game with her, on VS, Cory said she was an empath and to a degree I saw it too, so I went with the flow. He argued Hallia was unlikely to on purpose emotionally manipulate people into not lynching her because she's a good person. I personally would add that it's innately duplicitous and debased because you are tricking people in a way that affects them.

With this in mind, when I see Hallia guilt tripping people in my third game with her, I think she's town!telling. After EoD D1 I was forced to consider I was wrong about one of lates or coria, and ultimately admitted to myself hydras are op. in coria's case it's very easy for cory to tell hallia how to act, and for her to follow through. as such, i'm kind of obligated to point out she hasn't been particularly helpful or active. Though when she does speak it's usually on point, overall she doesn't really scum hunt or follow up on leads. She's content to sit back, I figure. It might also be the case that cory isn't around, or cory would do the pushing if he were.

As to my contradiction, it wasn't really a contradiction. I was speaking off the meta Cory had posited in the VS game. And it was just a slip as I slipped in and out of worlds where she was wolfpack. Hallia accosted me for accusing her of being emotionally manipulative. I noticed the mistake and tried to clarify, but it doesn't seem to have worked despite a couple of attempts.

what else... right she's easily offended for some reason. it might be overreaction or whatever.

Sorry desp, if this doesn't satisfy you. I couldn't care less.

The ONLY thing i want from you is to accept the fact that I don't care. I think you're nonsense or daft, or just a bad player. However you want to put it. I think, even if you were a 'good' player, you wouldn't get me. I don't think you can read me. I think you're off base. I think you're being silly if not daft. I think you're scum. I think you're aiming for a mislynch on me now that you can't get one on tom.

I think if you're town, you're pushing far too hard, and are being irrational at that. I think in a general way you're just a scummy player that I try to ignore until a) it doesn't matter to me or b) i respond as i am doing now.

I think we would get along much better in mafia if you just left me alone :)

Posted

lastly, i think if you did leave me alone, i would compliment your finer points rather than add insult to injury and bring you down. because as town you do sometimes have good reads like my first game here.

Posted

Hey Sili I just have one quick question for you to answer please:

Could you care any less what I think?

All is forgiven

until it's not

I'll do alanna next I suppose.

You haven't injured me in the slightest Sili

And how would you know if I had good reads or not this game? Whoops! The only way you'd know if my reads were good or not is if you already knew who the town and scum were!
