Probably was me Verbs. Sorry I didn't stay on last night... 9:30 is soooo late! :P How about we plan to meet up 9:15ish on Friday and run some herorics to fill out your gear. We can run a few with me healing, Jack tanking and your dpsing... then maybe one with me tanking and you healing once you get some gear. Do you know what instance drops the best healing gear for mail wearers? We could target that one.

 

I really believe it takes too long to get valor points. I bought my first valor gear a few weeks ago and am just unmotivated to climb the hill of one daily heroric for a month to get my next piece. Hence why I am working on alts.

Heh - 9:15 is sooo early!!! :-P I'll try, though. And I'll talk to Jack - he usually has a problem with earlier times as well. As for which instances, it doesn't matter. I think each one has something I could use, and I need to learn them all, anyway.

I only mentioned 9:15 so we could blow through as many as possible as they take about an hour each. If we started at 10 we may get through 2 or 3 depending on our wipes.

Well, Varju doesn't want to run any heroics right now....he's content leveling his Pally healer - level 32 now I think.

 

I might try out my level 26 Warrior tank and see how I do with Varju healing me. You blacksmithed all his gear, so I might as well take him for a test ride, lol.

I guess I will just focus on leveling my dk now. I gotta admit I am getting bored. I miss our Wednesday night runs.

They are coming back! Once the patch drops, Varju will start with his druid again. And I will be full-bore on my Shaman. I just need a few pieces of gear to get ready....actually it'll all fall into place at the same time.

 

-I need a few more pieces of heroic gear

-I need a little more rep

-I need to buy 2 pieces of gear

 

The first 2 things will happen together, and then I round out my gear with purchases and I'm ready to raid. And the patch brings me my CD in the form of Spirit Link Totem. I'll test that baby out and then be ready to roll.

Damn just saw this post. For the past week I have only been on long enough to do my cooking daily and that is about it. Tonight I am in a 25 man though which means spending tons on repairs while the guild fails yet another time trying to kill the first boss. I swear I think I like 10 mans better.

well, I'm going to be taking a WoW break. I haven't had one since ZA was released in BC, and frankly, the grind has flat worn me out. I don't even want to log in to do a heroic anymore. A friend talked me into trying Rift and I still have my LOTRO account so I'll check them out. Maybe I'll finally get around to gaining access to Lorien.

So I logged on to do my dailies last night and one of my guild members is asking if anyone can tank a regular for them. Sure.. regulars are mostly cake for me now. I join the group and realize it is the group from doom. I say this because it includes probably the worst WoW player I have ever encountered. I have partied with her in the past and here are some of the issues I have run into with her.

 

- Me healing : "Please use the lightwell"

 

- Her: "I don't know how to use the lightwell. I didn't even know I had the ability to make one" She is a druid btw.

 

Anyway... so she is in my party last night. The guy queues us and we go into the instance. BRC... huh... OH he queues us for heroric. Ok.. cool... I can technically tank herorics just wanted to do it with my guildies... which technically I am. We have a pug healer though. We take down the first boss with only one wipe... which I was quite impressed with actually. We get to the second boss... maybe the EASIEST boss in cata. All you gotta do is block the rays for a certain amount of stacks.

 

We wiped 5 times. 5!!!! 3 were from Nic transforming... one when she didn't block it in time and the baddie transformed... and one when the huntard in our group took on too many rays. I was actually in vent with them explaining each time how many stacks to take, when to get back in... she just didn't get it... well until 4 wipes later. Needless to say our healer bailed after the first two wipes. I bailed, nicely, after 5.

Ouch. Who was the druid? I know a few bad ones as well, and I'm wanting to compare notes, lol.

Thought so....yeah, some just don't get it. We used to have a few others like that, but they've improved, which is awesome. But some just don't get it, but they have fun playing so it's hard to make them improve when they really can't.

 

In other news, my priest is now level 37 and I'm really loving it. If this continues, the priest might become my main over the shaman. Dunno - I guess we'll see what 4.1 brings with my Spirit Link Totem.

I can't touch my priest's dps with my pally. Oh I switched my off spec to ret because I just could not get Holy. I guess next up I will level my dk to 85. Really wish there was more for my priest to do though.

Actually, I might get rid of my shadow off-spec and just go disc/holy. LOVE healing on the priest. Been just doing Disc, but Holy sounds fun as well, especially now that I can get lightwell.

 

Varju and I had planned on me tanking and him healing (both with Pallys), but I couldn't get into the Pally. Didn't like it, so I kept with my Priest, and we are yet again in the Varju=tank and Verbal=heal mode, lol. Same roles, different classes!

I would suggest keeping shadow through leveling at least. I keep being tempted to go disc, I just miss the bigger heals of holy. Is it still hard to go OOM in that spec?

 

I agree with pally healing... I don't know why it seems so foreign to me.

 

I am now leveling my DK to 85.

Well, because we queue up as tank/heal combo, wait time is zero and that levels us pretty fast (we have full xp heirlooms).

 

Disc is VERY hard to go OOM, even if the pull goes bad. I use Atonement healing, and Smite the bad guys. That end up smart-healing the party member with the lowest health, which is usually the tank. My shield are strong, and Penance is godly. I stack Evangelism to 5 stacks and then keep it ready to pop Archangel if I need a little healing boost. Otherwise Smite healing ends up working fine on 99% of mobs and bosses. The harder ones make me pop Archangel and Power Infusion, and heal normally. The mana cost reduction talents in Disc are awesome.

 

Also, I picked up the Divine Accuracy major glyph, which make Smite have an 18% hit chance, thereby making me not miss with that spell ever....thus always getting a heal out of it...and more DPS on the mobs. I usually come in right behind the 3rd DPSer, and obviously over 90% of heals. Me likey.

I'm 43 and Varju is 45. He's a pally and I'm a priest.

 

 

Although, I spent some time last night chatting with Drowningpool, and his Shammy is 83-84 now....I might hop back onto Verbal soon and run heroics again. Not sure what to do, actually....I'm starting to miss my Shammy....

Let me know, I want to run my pally tank through herorics but only with guildies. My DK is 82 now so I will have up soon. I have tons of alts hanging around 60 so once you hit near there I may run with you.

I think Drowning will have his Shammy at 85 very soon, so we can all go run heroics (including Varju). Role reversals FTW.

I am about to level my shaman to 85 this week which will be my 5th 85. I am really enjoying healing with him... but then again I haven't tried to heal a raid yet. I am raiding with my priest every weekend. Of course the newest patch nerfed the bosses so my team can usually clear a raid in one night pretty easily. However we are still having a bit of trouble taking down Chogall in BoT.

 

Verbal raiding with my team the other night. Of course I floated him right into Nef which caused our raid to wipe. I think Verbal and I were greatly amused but the rest of the raid didn't get the joke.
