...Dain, not to be confused to Dain Bornhald the White Cloak. Dain happens to be my own name as well.

I just finished the 11th book two days ago and managed to shed a tear that there would be no more books for some time. Anyway I loved each and every book, including the New Spring Novel (which I read between book 10 and 11). I don't know if it is the last several months talking or if the Wheel of Time series is actually my favorite series of books ever.

So while I wait for the next book I've decided to write a little of my own, this would be the first time I've done actual writing. I'm more of a visual artist, and my grammatical skills are lacking. I've run my story ideas across my employers and they think they are pretty solid, so I'm going to go ahead and try starting with a short story. I'm sure Robert Jordan's style will be a big influence.

 

I look forward to talking to many of you about different aspects of the wheel of time and mysterious plot twists and what ifs.

Must have come as a bit of a shock to find yourself one of the characters in the book.

 

You ought to check out the Writer's guild here on Dragonmount. Under Forum Options, you can sign up to the various Orgs and other parts of DM. The Writer's guild is part of The Illuminators (Org) http://www.dragonmount.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=99

 

You just missed the deadline for the DM Anthology... but there will be other writing project so check them out.

Yep! Lots of projects and the Anthology will be a yearly thing, so there's always the next round coming! Come on my the Scribe's Chapter of the Illuminator's Guild and we'll help you out with whatever you need help with! :D

 

PS- there's also a big visual arts group within the Illuminator's Guild, so it sounds like a wonderful place for you to stop by! :D

Ah, thank you so much for all the wonderful replies. I'm heading to my parent's for the holidays at the end of the week so I'll be without reliable internet access. When I return home I'll be sure to look around more and find where I fit in.
