It´s night. That is why a lot of players are quiet.

I think it´s funny that Graendal want to go after me because he has never seen me play as mafia before. It´s like using a meta read but without a meta. Strange. If Graendal isn´t mafia then he has put a huge target on me and Mesaana for the night. Scum would easily kill any of us and use it to get Graendal killed tomorrow. (I know I´m town, don´t know about Mesaana.)

I've been keeping abreast of everything, I'm just really lazy so never wanna take the time to sign and out out of the alts. Plus I'm always meh about deadline games, they take so much longer and drag out a lot.

I'm trying something different now, so hopefully I can be a bit more active this way

Verb paced the floor, his hands clasped behind his back and worry lines on his brow; Quibby leaned back in his chair, his feet propped on the desk and cleaning his nails with his knife. Barm watched Verb pace back and forth and finally spoke up.

“She’s not coming, if she was, she’d be here by now. I think we should best consider her caught and decide how to go from her.” Quibby shrugged in a nonchalant matter but Verb rounded on Barm, utter fury crossing into his voice.

“Oh sure, easy for you to just shrug her off. She’s just a casualty in your damned plan for control of Dragonmount. What do you care if she’s thrown in jail? Do you have any idea what will happen to her if she’s charged with Murder; not here in the states but in her home country?! Of course you don’t, we’re just pawns in your stupid game of chess; pieces you discard and don’t give two flips about!”

Verb opened and closed his fist, ready to take a swing and punch Barms face in. Cautiously, Barm chose his next words and kept his tone neutral; even Quibby kept his normal sarcastic remarks to himself this time.

“Verb, you know that’s not true. Look, we’re all upset over losing Nyn.” Verb let out a snort of derision at this and sneered; Barm continued to talk in a calming manner, unfazed by the reaction. “You know that’s true Verb; you’re angry and I’m completely understand why, but the anger is misdirected.”

Verb opened his mouth to respond, but Barm continued quickly. “Nyn getting arrested was my fault and I aim to fix that. In fact, tonight we’re gong to put a monkey wrench in this entire fiasco; we’re going after Jason.”

Quibby’s head popped up at this and Verb looked slightly taken aback; Barm laid out his plan. “Verb, I need you to lay a distraction a few floors down while Quibby and I take care of Jason. This will pull the guards off his door and allow us to sneak in and out without being detected. Without Jason to head this thing, everything will fall apart.”

Quibby nodded, liking this idea and Verb shrugged dejectedly; Barm gave him a sympathetic look. “As soon as we get the serves Verb, we’ll clear Nyn. You’ve just got to trust me a bit more.”

Verb studied Barm for a minute, and then gave a curt nod of the head.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Policeman came back into Jason’s room after taking the call on his cell phone, a worried look on his face.

“Look, there’s been a disturbance on the 2nd floor and they need all of us to respond; will you be okay here for a few?” This gave Jason an uneasy feeling but he nodded. The policeman stepped out of the room and closed the door behind him.

Not 5 minutes passed and the power went out, the feeling of unease grew in Jasons gut and the hairs began to stand up on his arms and neck. Slowly, forebodingly, the door to his suit began to open and in stepped two figures cloaked in darkness. Jason stepped to the window and threw back the drapes, the florescent light from the streetlamps casting an eerie glow into the room but lighting it well enough for him to make out the figures identities.

“Barm, Quibby; I can’t say I’m surprised to see its come to this, though I am shocked that Verb isn’t with you guys seeing as Nyn was involved.”

Barm smiled in a smug manner, “Oh Verb is involved; why do you think your little body guard left in such a hurry. Really though Jason, you shouldn’t have taken Nyn away; Verbs really pissed about that, you should actually be thankful he’s not here.”

Jason shrugged, catching something metal glint in Quibbys hand; he felt panic rise in his throat, bile raise from recalling the scene in Dwyns room, and forced it back down. Judging the situation quickly, Jason made a grab for his cell phone and Quibby and Barm pounced on him.

Dashiva, Jason, Site Owner and Finder has been Killed

The power came back on in about 20 minutes, and by that time the policemen had questioned the desk clerk about the fire in the trashcan, the busted window and we’re in the process of analyzing the message written in jagged letters with red spray paint on the wall. He got onto the elevator, still feeling an overwhelming mixture of rage and sadness at Nyn getting caught; to be honest, he was still considering kicking the crap out of Barm for all of this.

The elevator dinged open to his floor, he got off and proceeded to where his door was. Pulling his room key out of his pocket, he opened his door but stopped in his tracks, unable to enter. Standing in his way was a figure disguised in a sweat jacket with a hoody pulled tight and baggy sweat pants; the silver barrel of a hand gun pointed directly in Verbs face. The figure loweres its hood and exposed their identity.

“You!” Verb let out a gasp a shock. “Yes, me.” The Figure answered, “You’ve been a very bad boy Verbal.”

Before Verbal could react, the figure pulled the trigger; the sound of the gunshot ricocheted down the hall and Verbals brains splattered across the wall behind him, his body dropping in a lifeless lump to the ground.

Dashiva's death was probably the mafia kill, and Demandred was probably a vig. I'd care to guess that the mafia shot Dashiva to keep him from revealing the results on his view. Now, who did he say he was going to view? Wasn't it Grendael?

So I guess that the basic-game Silencer got Graendal? Is that what what we're looking at?

Nice work to whomever nailed Demandred - we're down our Cop, but we've nailed 3 of them in two days and nights, which is really excellent.

I think it would be good for every player to weigh in at this point.

I wasn't being serious - Graen has been sloppy, to be sure, but I doubt she was going to try to pull that one off. I am curious to see what she has to say about her mysterious remarks, though. I'm also curious to know what everyone else has to say. Numbers wise we are at a very comfortable spot for the town and it strikes me as an excellent time to get every person playing to give their detailed thoughts on the game so far. Get 'em talking - see what they want to go down on record saying.

I didn't state that very clearly. I meant that the mafia probably killed Dashiva, and a Vig probably killed Demandred. There. Much more understandable now.

I am not good at picking up meanings from smileys, and judging from the hints that Graendal was dropping in the last phase, I believe that she's only allowed to communicate through smileys. Nor do I understand the significance behind the bolded names in the vote count.

Graendal sounds like a good choice to me. If we aren't going to be able to get solid communication from her, she is a liability.

However, I am open to hearing what she has to say through smileys.

Graendal, do you believe that the players whose names you've bolded in the vote counts you quoted previously are scum?

Here's a thought:

Statistically, the odds that Graendal is actually mafia are pretty low - how many games have you been in where you just pick them off day after day? I understand this, and am happy to hear other arguments, especially concerning lurkers that have barely contributed.

However, if I go by gameplay alone, Graen has played the scummiest, imo. And, the fact that we are seeing wild changes in Graen's playstyle would also point to squirming scum. I simply don't believe that Red would force Graen to post this way because it's pretty much a death sentence and doesn't make any sense. No other player has been given a PR, and Dashiva slipped more times than Graen, so where's the logic?

My vote stays on Graen unless something more compelling comes along.

Actually, I'm pretty sure Gradenal holds the record in the number of posting errors. I was surprised that EP hasn't been replaced by now. Which sort of draws my attention. There was obviously no point in placing a PR on Dashiva because he got night killed. And knowing Red... a smiley restriction is very typical of her.

I'm gonna do a bit of a reread to sort out my thoughts. I'll post again once I'm done.
