Time for a new activity at the Band of the Red Hand Social Group, DM's music and travel Social Group.

The Chart Game

This is a simple game open to Banders and DMers alike. Each week, I will post a thread with a new release in the UK singles charts along with a link to a music video so you can listen to the song. All you need to determine is where the song will chart on Sunday when the UK Official Chart is announced on Sunday. You need to pick between 1 to 40, or "does not chart". No chart place can be picked twice. And there will be prizes for the winner.

The Prizes

Winner (exact spot) - 4 Promotion Points

Winner (not exact spot) - 2 Promotion Points

Should there be a tie, for example, the song charts at number 7, but two Banders have picked 5 and 9 (i.e. both are 2 places away up and down), they will both get the winnings.

The Song

The song that I have chosen this week is No Light, No Light by Florence + The Machine. Click here to see what I could have chosen.

Time to start predicting!

Does Not Chart

So, that was a good start!

I have just looked at the Official UK Singles Top 100 Charts, and the song I had picked, No Light, No Light by Florence + The Machine, actually charted outside the Top 40 at number 67!

But I need to stick to the rules, and the winner is the one who picks the position nearest to the actually charting position. So congratulations to dragonlover, who gets 2 extra promotion points!

Time for the next new release (see new thread) and hopefully the song charts in the Top 40!
