How can Rand remeber?

So I recently just complete CoS but I have one question.

You know how Rand remembers the name and face of every maiden of the spear (every woman for that matter)who dies fighting for him?

If he kills Liah with balefire he essentially rips her from the pattern as if she doesn't exist (according to my understanding of Balefire please correct me if I'm wrong) He tears the very fabric of the pattern and erases all memory of her. Yes he does this in mercy of course, better then Mashadar for sure.

So anyway my question is how can remember Liah if he rips/erases her from the pattern?

Balefire doesn't completely erase somebody for history back to the beginning of time. Remember, Moiraine balefired Be'lal and Rand balefired Rahvin as well. If it erased people from all existance ever, nobody would remember them as Forsaken, even if they are (semi) main antagonists.

Balefire erases them up to a point, depending on the size of the bar. The bigger the bar (the more Power you put into it), the further back the Pattern is burnt and more of their actions are erased. It also doesn't erase memory of those unaffected directly by the person who was killed by balefire. For example, at the end of tFoH, when Rand balefires Rahvin, Mat, Aviendha, and Asmodean don't remember dying because technically they never died. However, Rand saw them die. That's his own experience independent of Rahvin. Therefore, when he sees them alive, he gets super happy.

Memory is not removed by balefire, only action--Moiraine states this directly, and we witness it several times, for instance when Rand balefires the darkhound attacking Mat, Mat still remembers it as having chewed right through the door, even though with the balefire effect it no longer had.

And balefire neither rips a person from the pattern, nor erases them. It simply kills them backwards in time, thereby removing the effects of anything they did after that moment. Beyond that it acts just the same as any other death.
